How do I replace a posted work with an edited (corrected) version?

I've been posting stories and poems here on Lit for years now... usually I am quite happy when one of my works gets approved and posted for all to see... However, I recently posted a poem (from my phone) and there was an inadvertent typo in the very first line of the poem. I did not catch it in the "preview" before I submitted it for some reason. I did catch it the morning it was posted. UGH! I have tried to resubmit the poem as an edited version but it's been pending now for two weeks. Is there a special protocol for resubmitting edited works? If anyone can help me I out I would be forever grateful. Thanks in advance.

It takes weeks. The longest time reported on this forum was five weeks. I've had an edit pending since October 5.
