Weell thats the question...LOL Sorry nothing sexual, I just want to know how you get a picture into a new thread...i see everyone else do it but wonder how. NOT a signature line picture but an actual photo in the space where you would normally write!

Please help!

The picture must exist somewhere on the web that is accessable to you. Then you insert the picture by typing the following
{img}http://then the web address{/img} into your post. Except you would replace the {} characters with [] characters. The end of the address should be the picture name followed by a .jpg or a .gif.
An example would be {img}http://www.brandisbedroom.com/brandinaked.jpg{/img}. Remember to replace the {} characters with [] characters.

If you want to learn the location of a picture you see on the web then place your cursor upon the picture, right click, then click on properties and the picture location will be listed in the address field.

So, since I helped, when you do have those bedroom pics I get to see them first, OK? ;)

be gone.

I'll try most things once.

Oh shit.
Now how do i get rid of it?

At the bottom of that post, is an icon lablel "edit/delete" click that, and edit out the URL for the picture. (The delete is misleading, because the BB is configured so only Laurel, Manu or someone with Moderator access can delete a post.)

Okay...I tried this on the "Mardi Gras" thread and all I got was a white box with a red X.

The infamous red X is an indicator that there is something wrong with the image.

Some possible "wrongnesses":

The image URL is spelled wrong.

The site where the image is stored is down or has hotlink protection.

The site where the image is stored is slow and your system didn't wait for the image to load.

The URL doesn't reference an image. (URLs must end in GIF, JPG or BMP -- NOT HTM, PHP, or CGI.)

The URL includes a script or other router that calls the image you want to display rather than addressing the image directly.

So what am I doing wrong?

When I try to view the image via the link I get "Access forbidden from external hosts"

That means you did everything right except pick a picture on a site that allows hotlinking. In other words, the problem is with where the image is stored, not with the way you tried to include it.

Thank you Harold! So do you know where I can get another picture?

Not off hand, but you can start by checking where others' pictures are from by right clicking and looking at the properties. Some are on personal webpages and others are from sites with lots of dolls.

Someone on the main board suggested a search for "avatars" would turn up several sites.
