How do I find why a story was rejected?

I've recently had two stories rejected. When I went to look for the reason - there was none.

If I knew the reason I could change the story, and learn from this for future stories - but no reason is given. Instead what
appears to be a standard form response thanking me
for the submission is in place.

How do I find why the stories were rejected?

Hi Clemstra,

If you go into your "View Submissions" page (which it sounds as if you have done) you'll see where it says "rejected" click on that, and as you have said, you then go to what reads something like a standard letter. However, within that there should be a reason given.

Ones I have heard of are:

"Too much violence."

"Underage content."

"Bestiality."

"Please run this past an editor."

I'm sure there are others, but the reason should be given there.

Good luck in finding it and I hope you get your stories accepted soon.

Thank you. Found something listed for all but one of the stories rejected. On that story nothing was listed as to why it was rejected so am still at a loss on what to do about that one.
