Why dont you spend the--what is it, like 50 bucks a year--to set up your own domain name/website, create a dedicated email address, post a gallery of pictures and a few sample galleries of yourself to give people a taste of what you're offering, and then take orders through email. you can charge people via PayPal.

The "online pimp who's sucking you dry" is probably spending a lot herself on search engine promotion gimmicks that are devised by her IT department, and if nothing else, will make darn sure you're plain 'ol GoDaddy "website tonite" site will never ever be found on Google.

I think just from a historical perspective, sex workers have been undervalued, underpaid, and the retirement benefits are awful (no doubt due to sexist oppression by white males, and not the plethora of geniuses who work in that industry). I'm just thinking that pennies, and a 3rd world standard of living, is maybe the most you can hope for.

Isn't there some Literotica webcam boys and girls thing going on? I see ads when I read stories. Maybe that's a good deal, I don't know.

Phone and cam work is much harder and more work- and time-intensive than most people think. If all you need is to replace some money you spent at Christmas, there are much better ways to do that.

Using PayPal for adult transactions is against their regulations. When--and it is "when," not "if"--you get busted, your account will be frozen, along with any money that may have been in it. There are plenty of ways to do this type of work legitimately, but accepting PayPal is not one of them.

If it's really just to recover a little holiday spending, you might do better to pick up a gig tending bar at private parties. Contact caterers, event planners, etc.
Bachelor parties are great for collecting tips. Make sure you earn your Xmas pennies before the "entertainment" arrives. Often, they'll want the bartender out the door with the change in venue.

Are you speaking from experience? There are plenty of people doing that and to be discovered online among them, much more than $50/yr will need to be spent.

The cam websites are a scam for the performers, you'll be lucky to make $10.00 and that's from being "on" for a few hours.

I don't know much about the phone work portion but I echo what others are replying on your thread, there are better ways to make money.

Id be wary of almost all the sites because they always advertise "free cams", so you know that someone is getting shafted…mostly the women. Best thing to do, and i have no experience in any of this, but i think the best thing to do would be to go independent and do it yourself. You have quite an audience here on Lit, although I'm not sure if you can advertise things like that. Im sure someone here knows.

Start a Tumblr with some photos and some teaser videos. Get people interested and then give them a way to see/pay you.

Is camming really all that bad a deal for women?

I've been on the other side of the cam a few times. Say you're charging 3$ a minute (on the lower end), even if the site takes 50% that's still 15$ for 10 minutes of work. Granted, you're not going to have 8 hours of private show a day, but I don't see how making 90$ an hour as being a scam...
