How do I delete a thread/ad that I started?

The subject line says it all. I started a thread looking for someone in particular some odd weeks ago. Now that I have found the desired person, I am wishing to close or delete my thread altogether but still keep my account open so I can post in others. Help, anyone??

The delete function is not enabled.

You can, however, go in and edit it so that it says nothing at all, which is quite nearly the same effect. Pull up your post and look for the edit button.

I haven't tried removing all the text, so you just might run into the same 5-character minimum rule that the original posts have, in which case you can use something like to display the

Just did. Thanks for the assistance. I was just hoping to wipe out the subject line and everything but I guess it will just have to cycle itself out is all. I not ony went in and edited it but posted a reply saying that I was no longer looking and thanks and all that. Hopefully that will do the trick.
