How do I choose the correct category?

I've just posted my latest story submission last week called "The Perfect Hostess". It's about a wife who one night entertained her husband's friend, involving normal sex, BJ, anal and finally (as an after thought during writing) a golden shower. All this while the husband was drunk and asleep. Couldn't decide what category this should be classified under, so I went for Loving Wives, since I've sent in a few stories before on this couple, where she was indeed a loving wife.

However, I received feedback from one anonymous reader who was quite upset that I chose Loving Wives, instead of Fetish (primarily due to the pissing segment) as the category. I'd like to sincerely apologize to this person as I thought this was the appropriate one.

Any ideas from you guys what this story should have been under?

I read it and thought it was fine as LW, but like incest, fetishes tend to take priority, so might have been better. Alternatively, a warning in italics about the fetish aspect might have diverted the squeamish.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, sometimes it's difficult to just choose one when there's so many things going on. Would have chosen KINKY if there had been one!!

Some of the other "regulars" are abot the 18-y-o age limit and the time taken to put a story up after submission.

These all get aired frequently, either here or (more frequently) in the Authors' Hangout.

When you choose a category, you shoud be looking at the main thrust of the action and story line. I tend to write only lesbian sex, but if the setting is the cabin of a space cruiser in the far future, obviously it's going to fit sci-fi better. The cats are just a rough guide and many stories cross several possible cats. Choosing canbe difficult, but if you determine the main gist and go with it, you should be all right.

As far as the loving wives cat, you should post there with the expectation of getting hostile feedback. there are simply too many definitions of hat the cat should entail, too many niche readers who lowvote for specific offenses to their ideas. I've heard of one who low votes if a condom is used, one who lowviots if there is no Gangbang, one who low votes if pregnancy isn't the result, a host who attack the author if the woman isn't punished, etc. etc. Of all the cats, it's the most contentious and therefore, the rick reward is high. You should get bot good and bad fedback, but expect the bad when you choose that cat.

Okay.... I'm thinking of writing a quick Stargate SG-1 tale or two, while my own personal laptop computer is down for repairs and maintenance, and then typing them up on the lappy when I get it back in a few weeks and posting it on Lit (sadly, the story I'm currently working on, Caribbean Cruise Ch.04, will not be completed til I get the laptop back and can finish the rest of it off).

What my question is is this... should I post my SG-1 story in the Celebrities category, or the Sci-Fi/Fantasy one? I'm THINKING Celeb, but one author did a two-chapter work called Kel'no'reem, placing the first chapter under Celeb category and the second under Sci/Fantasy! What the hell?

Would appreciate at least a couple of people's opinions, though I'm pretty sure both stories about celebrities themselves (ie Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amanda Tapping etc) and about their shows (ie Buffy, Stargate SG-1 etc) are best put in the Celeb category.
