There is a message box? Mailbox? Yes? Sorry, I'm so new to this site and I can't find it. I looked all over and even tried to google it which just got me a lot of smutty stories about mailboxes.
Only if you have that alert turned on.When you get a message, Literotica forwards the message to the e-mail that you provided when you signed up. As far as I'm aware, there's no mailbox here to check.
Oops - I posted before I read KimGordon's note - I was responding to Nyx' comment mainly.Only if you have that alert turned on.
If you've received a PM, there will be a bold number top right of this page. The bit that says Private Messages: Unread. Click on that link and voila, there's yourur message in box. Hidden in plain sight, I guess.

The capacity grows once you reach certain thresholds - I don't know what they are but I think it's xxx number of posts. I've got an allowance, for example, of 750 (total, send and receive), but I can't recall when I reached that level. Several years ago, I remember that much.Ohhh... Duh! I was thinking about the Private Feedback messages. Yes, if one doesn't manage the PM inbox, it will overflow very quickly. Sorry for the misdirect, OP!

You can get email notification for PMs too, if you want. I don't bother with notifications, and the Private Feedback happens automatically - although you can turn PF off. The site gives you a range of options to control engagement with readers, which is good. Some writers turn everything off and just publish stories - they would get the View count only, no comments, no scores.
Ah, got you.I mean "overflow" in the sense that a triple-digit pile of mail gets as anxiety-inducing as a my work email. Who wants that? The hard cutoff at a certain point is almost merciful.
I want to know the answer as well, as I've been trying to contact a few authors and they never replyRelated question, really clarifying above comments. I see the inbox for this forum. But what about an inbox for a profile on www.literotica.com? Is that the case where messages are just sent toy your email account?
Thx

Depends on the collective server latencies, I think. There's no reason Lit would need to delay despatch of a message - they're not screened for anything, to my knowledge - but who knows. Not trying to make much noise on here but I sent a message to myself on "feedback" while logged out and never received the message through my registered email on here? Is there a delay between when a message is sent and when it is received?
