How do change so I can ad attachments to my posts

I posted the other day and there was a button to add a photo from my computer to the post now its gone how do I change it back?

If you have to log in when you first get to Lit, that uploading a pic option will not be there. Once you're registered into the site, though, it comes back. So does the color, font, and size options.
