My husband got down on one knee and said,"Will you engage me."

No roses or chocolates.... just him being him. :)

Really, he asked twice. The first time was kinda or unromantic, but very sweet. About a week later after we got the ring, he asked again on bended knee :)

He kinda just said one evening "Let's get married" and I said ok. Then after we went shopping for a ring I knelt at His feet and He placed in on my finger Saying "Will you marry me?" I smiled and said yes, Master :)

I said, "I'm tired of being a bachelor, can you fix that for me?"

She's still thinking.

Once I was ready to propose, I had to find the right time and place. It turned out to be the place we had the most happy reunions and tearful farewells: the Amtrak depot. She had planned a trip to her parent's home on the train, and I made an excuse to see her off. I popped the question in the departure lounge. She said yes, boarded the train, and proceeded to tell everybody on board about it.

Our wedding is in four weeks.

I'll let you know if/when it happens. ;)

Romantic would be nice though.

I just know the word "Master" won't be a part of my vocabulary when it does. Neither will "obey." I don't do "obey."

My ex wife actually asked me, while laying on top of me. Who was I to say no at that moment?

My husband had bought a new car and with it came a trip to Hawaii. He was taking me back to work after lunch, we where stoped at a light, he looks over and ask me if I wanted to make this trip our honeymoon. I said yes.

I was getting ready for bed. He came in and handed me a box. I opened it and there was a ring inside. This is how the converstion went.

Me: Oooh that's so pretty!!! Wait...is this what I think it is.

Him: Yep.

Me: OMG!!! Okay!

Him: Cool

He was excelent with words, let me tell ya.

at least he did it..marksgirll....

best thing ,,,,,,I DID

my soon-to-be-ex and i were dating and decided to move in together to save money for a wedding. the week before we moved in together, he suggested we go out for one last big night out.

he came to pick me up with a dozen roses, and for once we didn't do the "where do you want to go? / i don't care, where do you want to go? " routine... when he got there, i was tired from work and moving pretty slowly getting ready, and he said we'd be late for our reservations....i thought that was strange...

he knew i was starting to suspect, so all through dinner, he kept holding my hand, looking in my eyes, and reaching into the breastpocket of his coat....and pulling out a kleenex. he was doing this just to torment me..*smiles*

after dinner, we took a carriage ride around downtown. i kept thinking he was going to ask me, and i was dying to know for sure. I kept rubbing my shoulder against his coat to try to feel for the ring box. But the driver wouldn't shut up (she was chatty, trying to be friendly), so he didn't ask me.

we then walked to fountain square and sat on the bench surrounding the fountain. he got down on his knee and proposed. it was very sweet.

Ah shucks. :)

We had been dating for about three months and we had just gotten done sleeping together for the second time. He was laying in bed and when I came in to kiss him goodbye so I could go home, he told me "I want to marry you."
It freaked me out, but what can you do?

He called from work one day and said "They want to transfer me to England for two years, give me a promotion and pay the rent!"

I said "That is so fucking cool, honey. When do we go?"

he said "Well, if you want to come with me, we have to get married."

I said "Well ok, if we have to!":D

My boyfriend and I had been together for about 4 months (I know that seems such a short amount of time) and it was October and I kept talking about Christmas presents. He gave in and finally gave me a clue that mine was in a safety deposit box. I kind of figured it must be jewelry of some sort and assumed it was an engagement ring. I was pretty excited and kept hounding him about it so he got it out early and when I came down to stay with him for the weekend he got down on one knee and said that he loved me very much and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and would I marry him. Of course I said yes and it turned out the ring was originally his great-great- grandmother's and had been passed down so it was very special.
We had talked about it and I'd said I'd want to wait to get married for two more years until I was done with college. That seems like yesterday but it's been two and a half years and our wedding is in about a month and a half, December 15.

I got, "I have a question and if you get the answer right? You win a prize. Will you marry me?"

Yip I got the answer right and won the prize. And it wasn't the ring either that was the prize to me. :)

Damn these are sweet. Certainly brought a tear or two to my eye.

Mine have all been guys who proposed in ways that deserved to be rejected and I know I am better off for that.
