How did you choose your avatar and username?

I'll go first.

I chose my user name without thinking. AG are my initials. 31 is about as far from my favorite number, 14, as you can get and still be two digits. I'm not talking mathematically, obviously that would be 99, but vibe-wise. I don't remember if 14 wasn't available or I was just wanting to be really, really anonymous. Anyway, I always get a faint whiff of alienation when I type it.

My avatar is a photo of lupines and day lilies from our summer place. I really love colors. I can't imagine what I would do if I had to actually be creative about choosing an avatar. No ideas at all.

Drawkward is a palindrome, and I love a smart joke. I use it elsewhere but that name was taken on Lit when I arrived, so I used a variation.

The avatar was drawn for me by a friend. She drew me as a little fox girl because I love foxes more than I love most human beings.

My avatar is a character I have in my head that with the magic of AI I could bring to life. My username has been my handle since like forever :p

Mine was derived from another user name electricxxxxx I had on a completely unrelated, non erotica forum. When I came here, I changed it to Electricblue66 (the number has no significance here, but does elsewhere), and then was able to drop the number completely, late last year.

The avatar is from my book cover for The Floating World.

Bodington was my favorite beer to imbibe when I first joined Literotica. That beer is no longer available on the shelves of my local supermarket. Besides I get grief from my oldest daughter when I buy beer on the premise that I should not deteriorate my health unduly. So, I only drink hard liquor nowadays. Perhaps I might consider changing my user name to Johnny Walker Black. Red of course is too plebian and Blue is beyond my means. As to my avatar it is picture of a woman, who I happened to come across randomly while surfing the internet. To my mind she seems to represent the quintessential alluring woman whom I would be instantly attracted to based purely on physical appearance alone. I pattern some of my female characters with such physical characteristics in mind.

My username is as self-explanatory as it is uninspired. My avatar too, really.

Okay, I have been trying to figure that one out. Having to make a variation makes sense now.

Thank you, thread!

Tenyari is the name of the main protagonist / antagonist of a 'Jeckyll and Hyde' style fantasy story I started in 2000-3 but never managed to get ready for publication...

I've been fascinated with the idea of the hero and villain being the same person ever since coming across the comic book "Love and Rockets" in the 1980s - which had a minor side strip in it as an intermission between the main short stories about a super hero hunting a certain villain and vice versa - only for it to be revealed to us readers that it was a case of split personality. I got somewhere over 30,000 words in, maybe over 100,000; before realizing I was still in the 'intro / setup' and have been sitting on the story now for 2 decades. When I started it I'd thought I'd manage to finish it in a week and have many sequels planned so picked the character name as my account here and on usenet's 'alt.sex'stories'.

The avatar image I'm using is an unrelated image I made.

I spent two years backpacking around europe and picked up the nickname Vagrant (my first initial is V as well) somewhere along the way. Switzerland, maybe? It's been ages.

My avatar is a ballgag without the straps; a play on being a switch d/s.

I cannot resist a good pun, and my avatar makes me smile. Every so often I think of changing it to be Asuka from Evangelion... but then I don't.

Heh. though if I were to change it, I'd love to be able to use this one

I'm always being asked what mine is about, of course most think it is sexual, but it isn't. It came about when I was thinking of a name, and looked down to see my blusher, which says: Silky Face, so I thought that's cool!! Nothing to do with fetishes.........

My avatar is a book cover for one of my marketplace GM anthologies (habu's Intensity). I used to change avatars to my most current marketplace book cover but when Literotica refurbished this place, I lost the ability to change my avatar, and so have had this one or some time.

The name is random. Well before I started writing stories here I was thrashing ideas about for getting involved in fiction and came up with the name as a possible character. Then I decided to write here and adopted it as a pen name. It doesn't mean anything.

The avatar is a close up of my eye, taken from a self-taken source photo I've long since forgotten, and heavily photoshopped. I assume it's from around 2013. I was doing a lot of online dating and taking photos of myself.

Did you draw your avatar?
No, it's from a photo in the public domain with a bunch of Photoshop filtering to get a bit of a stylistic (almost drawing) look. If you look at the covers in my bookshop (links in my sig block), they've all got a similar feel - except for my novel cover, which was bought from a cover artist who tweaked her starting image for me.
