Well I won't spoil the fourth one for you, happy reading!
I loved the third one, I was crying at the end, it was so sweet, that he finally found someone linked with his parents, to take care of him, and fill in the missing gaps, and then Poof, it's all just whisked away. I actually woke my roommate up, I was sobbing so loudly. I'm very emotional, as if you couldn't tell.

I thought it was cool too actually, that Harry now has someone to help keep him safe and someone to be there for him, parent figure wise..I soo can't wait for book 5!!! LoL

I bought my month old nephew his xmas present this week...boxed set of Harry Potter 1-4 so he can read em when hes older.....

Well I only recently seen the movie, and I had to admit that it was pretty cool. I haven't read any of the books, but after seeing the movie I think I will see if anyone I know has them so I can start reading. Either that or I will find me an e-book copy

I thought that the HP movie was going to be like the LOTR movie where if you didn't read the books you would be totally lost (this is sooooo true in LOTR), but when a friend of the family loaned us the DVD (DVDs kick total ass) I watched it and I must say that I was not lost at all and the movie was pretty cool. I just seen the previews on TV for the second movie and that looks interesting as well.

Sorry. I enjoyed reading the first book, but found it a little too dark for my kids. Just my 2 cents. I enjoyed a lot of it, and the ideas Rowling has are great - shopping for supplies, quidditch, etc... and could have over looked quite a bit - but the drinking blood thing, well, that got to me...

But, I LOVED LOTR - again, too dark for my kids, but it's not aimed at children - and had to say, I have never read the books, LOTR that is, as they are very complicated, but the movie was riveting. And that is one I am anxiously awaiting....

Well that's the great thing about Harry Potter, he's not some whiny baby that kids can relate to. He, Ron, and Hermione are like grown ups in small bodies!

I can't believe I got hooked on it, but Harry Potter is awesome. I even have played the video game - I never would have thought I'd be pissed off not being able to sneak out of Griffyndor house at 2am - but it's just as addicting as the books! The 5th will be out this spring and has already presold enough copies to be a bestsellar - months before release! Great thread!

Sorry about that - in my self-centered world I was only thinking of the US climate and forgot the seasons are different elsewhere...please forgive me! The next kids book will be out in March-May of 2003. We use the same calendars, right ?
