I remember on track in high school, we had a girl on the team who went to the state championships in the half-mile. I wasn't even in the top three boys on our team in the event. I routinely beat her in practice. We were actually pretty close in practice, but this was a state finalist, far far ahead of the average girl on the team and certainly far far far ahead of the average girl in the school. Now, the reason I bring this up, is that this was not even a physically violent sport. It was just running.
In no major sport that requires any physical stamina or strength do males and females normally compete against each other. In most sports that don't even require stamina or strength they don't even compete with men. Men and women even have separate shooting events in the Olympics for crying out loud.
How on earth, can they handle fighting to the death in ground combat with men, when the vast majority of women can't even beat the vast majority of men in such peaceful sports as volleyball or tennis?
