I just told a friend in Hawaii that. The radar looks nasty but the reality has been so much less today then the crap over here yesterday. We had enough water that people were kayaking & wake boarding behind SUVs. Stupid people tricks.

Ended up getting pretty bad here. A lot of rain and wind. Reports of tornadoes with trees down and some flooding. Hope you faired well.

Lol....Fine in New Tampa 8" but no wind or flooding.....hope you're drying out on the coast, Starry, or at least treading water !

I'm sure you are so right. I just read this morning there is a Whistle blower
coming forward against the city on this.
But after Mosaic had been draining radio active water into to the aquafir for 3 weeks in their sink hole...
I'm guessing we are totally screwed.

The Tampa Bay Times have done a good job in reporting the facts and yes a whistle blower has come forward, a sewage plant operator. That being said I doubt anyone will really be held accountable for this mess. A lot of it stems from closing the Albert Whitted plant and the unwillingness to spend money on infrastructure.

yep you have that so right. It's been happening for over 30 years. One of the neighbors down here who knows her stuff is looking into suing them thru the EPA. She went back in the Times records of stories from over the years and the mayors as far back as 30 years have all dumped sewage, promised to never do it again yet still done it over and over.

Wow! That is very interesting but I should not be surprised. I read the last 3 mayors are all pointing fingers at each other. Gotta love this state. I am going to go read some Carl Hiassen so I dont lose my mind.

"Following extensive conversations with Mr. Askew regarding the recent wastewater discharge by the City, as well as a review of related documents, this has now become a matter that reaches beyond the jurisdiction of my Congressional office and merits a review by law enforcement. I have spoken with state law enforcement officials who have direct investigative responsibility over environmental matters and they have concurred that the allegations rise to the level of a formal investigation. My office is now assisting with the transfer of material information and will have no further comment on the case. This is now a matter for law enforcement." - Congressman David Jolly FL-13)

Just saw the news the sink hole over in Mosaic is much bigger & deeper then first reported too.
