I'm guessing no one showed up The main issue seems to be a lack of regularity w/ some of the FL posters - I get that we have obligations outside of Lit, but why try to set up a plan to meet and then be an infrequent poster to Lit.

I think in order for a successful meetup to happen the following should occur:

1. Plan in advance and take a poll on which date/time works
2. Select a restaurant that can be found via gps b/c not everyone is into the bar scene.

Oh, well. We can always try again. I would have been there were it not for the schedule imposed upon me by my doctors.

I have this thread set for Instant Notification so I can be updated whenever anyone posts to it. I would suggest everyone do the same and maybe we can get a consensus for the next attempted Meet & Greet.

Heard on the news later it's been 6 in the last 6 weeks.

Haven't been to Florida in a few years now but growing up as an infant till the end of high school we'd holiday in the Sarasota/Siesta Key area for 2 weeks every winter & 3 weeks every other summer. Hubby & I have been back a couple of times but now we're hooked on the Caribbean.

It's filpping cold in here. Only have heat in the bedroom.

St Pete here, just went outside, not a cloud, blue sky, bright sun, feels so good on my face. Bundle up and let that sun hit your face and soak it in.

This place has a lotof the old slat windows and no attic fan.
So when it gets cold or damp it's that way no matter how much I try & cover them.
When it gets hot or cold a few days in a row it holds it in here & the attic.
Until the sun hits my living room to heat up it will stay chilly in here.
