Name the date...I'll try to make it - it's not an issue of "if people are coming I'll come" - so long as I'm able to I will come.
 
Wow, so many people in Central and North Florida. Hadn't noticed this thread until tonight.

I'll keep my eyes on this thread for the date and location, I imagine? Can't guarantee anything, but I guess I can consider it, love a road trip (even as short as it would be)!

Hi Chaingun and all,
I'd say pick a time, place, and identifying clothing, and we can all try to make it. Let's see how that works.

Also, here's an idea: Each of us, whether we can or can't drive that far can try this: Post on this thread a time, place, identifying clothing for a venue on multiple dates, such as the first and third Wednesday night of the month, or a regular time weekly that you know you can manage. The more people who do this, the more that will be likely to make the venue that Chaingun schedules for later in the month.

I think the attendance is going to be sparse no matter what, but I think the best we can do is slowly build a network of like-minded people who will be willing to meet up on an irregular basis. Eventually, though, a fairly widespread network of people who already know one another, or are "friends-of-a-friend" to enough other people, might be able to make up a pretty good party crowd, perhaps once a month, but probably no more than 50 miles of their homes.

Maybe some of us can try this on a temporary basis for the month of January, 2012, and see how it goes.

In the meantime, let's all agree that if at all possible, just for starters, we'll try our best to make it to the venue that Chaingun is proposing for later in January. We all "have a life" that can get in the way of plans, but I for one, will do my best to be there.

Also, in the next few days, I will find a regular weekly time & place that I can stay for two hours per week in Clearwater, with the hopes that someone will join me. If enough of us do such a thing, within a few months, there could be small groups of new acquaintances all around the state.

Any feedback on all this?

I'm not too crazy about driving that far when there are a lot of Litsters in the Pinellas/Hillsborough county areas, but if that's what it is, it's what it is. ;)
