This isn't the first time I've been denied entry into America.. but the last time was 6 years ago, and I was really expecting to get across, I had everything in order.. They just made up different reasons for me this time. *shrug*

Have not made any great secret of living in San Diego so I will mention it here...San Ysidro US-Mexico crossing is one of the world's busiest and there is a duty free shop with good single malt scotch prices...plus I spent many nights in TJ when I was younger...still go down to do the lobster feast thing on occassion, but don't hit the clubs anymore. We used to go there every weekend in the 80's.

Well, the south border seems easier than the north.. I know a number of americans who have been detained trying to go back to their own country from these guys up here.. (and a few were discussed on the thread Logophile started as well)

But anyways, think happy thoughts I always say.. so been trying to push it to the back of my mind for now. I've been working on some of my poetry btw

for better or worse, non-violent is not me...I was very much into the whole "turn the other cheek" thing as a pre-teen and early teenager. Very pacifist, even to the point of allowing myself to be hit without hitting back. One day in sixth (hmm, might have been seventh) grade I got ganged up on by four jerks and I just went totally the other direction. Just went after one of the four and made sure he looked as bad as me. It worked, they left me alone after that.

I am much better at controlling myself now though....have not been in a fight in ages and have not started one in many, many years...my temper is very controlled now, but still legendary among the few friends I have kept since the "bad old days"...
