I can't stand to have a messy room, it drives me nuts. Even sans Dom, my dorm room is always meticulously cleaned and I can only imagine that when I get an apartment, it will be the same. What has helped it not get totally insane is promising myself to do 15 minutes of it. At the end of the 15 I can renew or stop. I often renew till something gets kind of done.

It's not the key to clean, but it does keep you at least participating.
