The socialist in me says your system is better. The personal experience in me says your bought and paid for system is less democratic.

they both suck, but the senate used to be worse. at least we vote for the fuckers now instead of leaving it up to the state government. seriously, fuck those guys.

So, would those robes and wigs be an advantage or a hindrance? It needs to be a fair fight.

...As if anything could be less democratic than a "House of Lords."

I thought it was a football match you were promoting. Oh, well.

that would the worst football match ever. just a bunch of old guys panting and wheezing and praying they don't stroke out.

You may vote for them, but they vote how they're bought.

Way to confuse the subject by picking football.

is it American football or that boring soccor thing?

Now im just picturing a bunch of old americans in pads beating the shit out of some fancy pant brits.

yeah, i know. i hate our corporate run system, but they're really isn't much to be done about it. too many self centered consumerist pricks in this country. also, a lot of people are still infested with all that cold war propaganda nonsense about socialism. it's so fucking annoying.

no matter what code you might chose it'll be terrible, but rugby would be best. it'd be nice to see the fuckers bleed.

Which is why, much as I hate it, that people beholden to no-one make better law.

I don't know enough about the mechanism through which the House of Lords operates, but as for the Senate, it only needs one rule change to bring it back on the side of the People, and that change is to ban lobbyists and their money.

Can the same be said for the House of Lords?

Make the rule change, then we'll talk.

Um, just as an aside, people that get caught taking money from lobbyists over here go to prison.

I bring it up to show that the Senate could be transformed through one rule change. Don't know if the House of Lords would be similarly impacted by one rule change.

one has to dress up and hide, to admit to being a socialist. how sad and pathetic one is, to admit that they are a socialist. what a loser

makes you almost feel sorry for that crack head frogger

But the members of the House of Commons are elected just as reps. are elected in the US.

what blows my mind, is how people can believe in socialism. they must be mentally confused/damaged people.

to give up, and quit in life. how sad! they must be depressed and pathetic

maybe I shouldn't poke fun at Sean for being a junkie

Look, you're a moron, we all know it. Do me a favour, I like laughing at you, but stay out of my threads because I'll have to iggy you just to clear the clutter.

In the US, pols might be more clever and usually avoid getting caught. Sometimes, the money is called a campaign donation.

Go ahead. I dare you to iggy me. :)
