I had my pictures removed by some moderator because they showed url's and told me they were hotlinks. Other people do this so why 1 rule for somebody else and 1 rule for me. And how can you post pictures on here when it asks for the url of your image!!!! Please help me somebody. Much appreciated. :)

In certain areas the mods are more active than others.
I know dave. lol. I'll learn the hard way. I am pretty drunk now so I have to admit that this is the best site. It's a big audience here. I have spent 5 minutes trying to write this. Thanks for replying.:)

Did the images actually have URLs on them, so they might have looked like advertising? Did the content of the images violate Lit's image posting rules (you can find those in a sticky at the top of the AmPics forum)?

There's no rule against hotlinking/inserting an image directly into a post, but the moderators DO attempt to remove anything that appears to be SPAM, advertising or a violation of the forum or image posting rules.

There are detailed instructions on hotlinking images in our FAQ sticky. As long as the images you hotlink follow the rules, you shouldn't have to worry about having them removed.

So, let's say you want to post a picture of your chest in AmPics. You'd upload that image to a hosting site (there are many free ones out there, including Picasa), copy the URL of said image, then click the
insertimage.gif
button on your post and paste the URL in the box that pops up and click OK. Preview your post to make sure the image appears correctly, and you shouldn't have to worry about having the image removed because it doesn't have a URL on it and the content is acceptable.
