HOTEL and choose ROOMIES - CHICAGO Lit-Together

Sounds good to me sweetie.

I'll room with just about anybody. Although female would be preferred.. ;)

I like La Quinta... :D

I'd be reserving a room for myself, because like I said in the other thread... I am a bad snorer. . .:( really bad.... and you'd get no sleep with me.

sofa sleepers suck... lol, even if they are from the Hilton. ;)

Looking forward to finding out which hotel we end up in so I can reserve my place and ditch my earlier reservation. lol.

As far as rides to the Hotel from the Airport...I will be available for transport duty on Friday and Saturday, although I can only transport 4, and that's a tight squeeze :D, at a time. That would be one up front and three in the back, the truck is farily big, so the more adventurous can crawl in there with the bags.

PM me with flight and Airline info if you would like to be picked up. We can arrange a location via PM.

I will be driving a van. I can help transport folks too. . . 5 if hubby comes with me, 6 if he doesn't.

I think we should do the La Quinta - cheap and easy. Here's more info. Let's decide this fast. Aw, damn. Do I have to do a poll?
...build it and they will come...

You have picked the one and only option, I believe.

...build it and they will come...

LaQuinta makes sense because of the price and the location and, frankly, no one is going to have a four star hotel stay, so it should meet everyone's needs.
As for rooms, I'm one of the ones who most likely won't need a room. I'll probably take the train over Saturday am and then go home Saturday evening. That could change, of course, but as of right now that's the plan.

I might be able to be there too. I'm mmoving to the Great Midwest next week, and should be within easy driving distance of Chicago. I don't have a home yet there, though, or a job, so unfortunately I just don't know what my circumstances will be in March.

I've got it in the back of my mind, though, and if I can make it but will miss the room reservation cut-off, I'll figure something out.

What's In A Room?

What more do we need other than beds and TV? I'll be happy with LaQuinta.

Once bills are paid up, I'll be making reservations. Is there a due date for doing so? Also, will there be any problem with confirming a room reservation if i prefer to pay cash?

I would appreciate a ride from the airport. Once I get all my plans finalized, I can either post them here, or PM Zeb or RHF.

Getting pretty excited, folks!

Dave

It may work best if you room with someone, have them reserve the room, and you pay them in cash when you arrive.

That works best for me. I have no credit card. And shouldn't.

Me, too!

About reserving with cash? I'm not certain but I will call tomorrow.

It may work best if you room with someone, have them reserve the room, and you pay them in cash when you arrive.

I need to get us a block of at least ten rooms first - looks as if I'll be doing that soon. Then I will get a code and information to give to everyone to call in to make their individual reservations.

Sounds good. Now, I just need to find someone who'll trust me enough to come through . . . .

I'll be available for transportation on Saturday (and Sunday returns, lol). La Quinta is nice... I was at the Woodfield over Thanksgiving and everything there is right off the interstate and in a nice area. Mark me down for the hotel please :D Also, do they happen to have suites there? At the IL/WI Litogether I had a suite. It was nice to have an actual sitting area to chit chat rather than sitting on someone's bed. I can seat 3 comfortably, 4 squished!

Great!

I'll check on the suites -

:)
Thanks! I'll get in touch with Annie about her arrangement plans and let you know... I'm NOT letting her miss this one! :p

I'm still planning to be there. My husband and I will drive in from Lexington, Ky.
(According to google, it's a 6 1/2 hour drive. The earliest we can leave here would be 5pm on Friday evening, due to work schedules.)

We both smoke. We don't mind sharing a room, but keep in mind we just got married. :D I'm a little shy, he's not.

La Quinta sounds good to me.

Sorry to report I won't be able to attend. I know it will be a great time and will be nice that some get to meet in person.

K says we probably need a room to ourselves, because he "likes to get naked." (his words, not mine). :D

He did say, though, that Sarahh was welcome to share our bed. ;)
