Hot?

You'd think. But she's given them to my stories in six widely divergent categories, so her taste doesn't seem to be limited much.

But 6 out of.....what is there, 30 or more?

Also people's tastes kind of shift as time goes by. I used to read nothing but mature stories, then I drifted into group and had a Lesbian "phase" now I've looking at some GM and been delving into incest. Stories I mean, have to be careful with what you say around here.

I'm just agreeing with your point it would be nice if each category could get some type of attention.

To test your theory, you could search on E stories only in the story search function. You'd get them all. I wouldn't assume that all categories weren't represented with Es unless a check supported that. (Green Es in six different categories by one author sort of indicates to me that Laurel spreads them around. Authors normally don't spread themselves too widely here.)

Yes, I see a lot of seem to enjoy one category, but of its what they have fun with why not? I suppose if they are into their numbers its probably easier to build a fan base in one category rather than going across the board.

But as a reader its fun to see a writer known for one category do something else and it comes out really well.

OK, I checked. It wasn't hard. There are 932 E stories on Literotica. All categories are represented except for Non-English. (Naturally enough, there are only two stories in that category, and Laurel might not be able to read the language of either one of those). The only categories not well represented are Letters/Transcripts and Text Audio, again understandable, as there, relatively, are very few stories in either of those categories.

I keep thinking that I'd get more readers if I stuck to one category for a while, but I can't.

As AWOLNATION would say, "Blame it on my ADD, baby."

Just write what makes you happy.
-What's your readership now?

"- What do the colored icons beside stories mean?
The red H's denote stories which have received 10 or more votes from readers, and maintain an average vote of 4.5 out of 5 or better.
The yellow E's denote "Editor's Choice" stories. These are pieces that we really like - just our opinion.
In the future, we may add other icons to denote contest winners and other information pertinent to the stories."

I do. :)

I don't even know how to answer that question. Depends on the category, the phase of the moon, etc. I guess. It's just always more fun if more people read your stories.

I'm satisfied. And I write what entertains me. Variety.

Nope that's it.

One of the E's is mine.
