Lt. Grace Tanaka
Standing this close to the captain and his bare, muscular torso, while she herself was half-naked, and Patricia..um…Dr McNamara was nude in the Captain’s chair, was giving Grace a whole slew of mental associations with bedrooms.
"Uhhh . . . captain? Gra--I mean Lieutenant Tanaka? You better look at this!"
Grace glanced over at Keiko, and saw her expression was worried. She also noticed that lights were switching on all over the comms/sensors board. Curious, she went over to have a look, her gaze sliding along Keiko’s smooth thighs.
Hmmmm…she liked that sight
But hang on! I’m not a lesbian…am I?
Keiko wasn’t thinking quite so dreamily at that moment, and her tight focus made Grace glance at the sensors and displays too.
A metal and stone structure on the planet. Alien ruins? 2.4 million years old?!
A warning message in very old code…but in English!
Displays changed fast, and Keiko yelled out
"Captain!......I'm seeing a massive energy buildup on the planet's surface! It's coming from the . . . the structure. I'll explain later, I recommend we go to battle stations!"
Grace wasn’t waiting for orders. The ship’s survival was at stake, and when she looked at the Captain, he and the doctor seemed to be distracted with…other things. She blushed. I can’t believe that they’re doing that on the Bridge!
She ran back to her own station, and pressed the Battle Stations alarm. At least it would get the Captain’s attention. The doctor would have to return to Sickbay as well to await any potential casualties. The Gunnery/Weapons Officer would have to return to the Bridge on the double if they were going to have any chance to fight.
ALERT
VESSEL IS UNDER ATTACK !
BATTLE STATIONS !
BATTLE STATIONS !
ALL CREW REPORT TO BATTLE STATIONS !
VESSEL IS UNDER ATTACK !
BATTLE STATIONS !
Damn it, the Captain should never have sent Sgt. Kerensky down to sickbay in the middle of a shift, especially when the Ship's Doctor continually insisted that the Sickbay wasn't ready yet and that it would be ready at the end of the shift. Stubborn arrogance. Insanity. Possibly suicidal in hindsight now they knew they were in a very high risk situation.
It was a relief when Vero…Sgt. Kerensky returned to the Bridge and assumed her position for weapons control.
“Appears to be automated defence systems. Weapon type is unknown, but there’s an energy build up that’s off the scale. They are firing, sir! Captain what are your orders!”
Oh shykes!, Grace thought, I have a really bad feeling about this…
