The only thing I can think of is to be careful of burns. The genital area has more sensitive skin than most parts of the body (duh!), so it's more susceptible to burns. Even if you first test it on your arm or something, it's still going to burn her more than it does you. Start off with the wax held up rather high...the higher the point you drop it from, the cooler it will be when it reaches skin. If you slowly drop slower and slower and your partner communicates with you as to what is "good hurt" and what is "bad hurt", you should be able to determine what is a safe limit.

You might even want to start and warm-up with a soy (or other low-temp) candle. That's what we start with elsewhere, and even though it just feels warm, I start a good foot above him, then move progressively closer before going on to the hotter stuff. also u can prep the area with ice and numb it then use a low heat burning candle. its safer, and the contrast usually makes it more intense. even if you use a normal candle, it will help prevent burns
