Tierney enjoyed Alex's release, his words also warmed her even though things said in a moment of passion can not be trusted. Thankfully she did trust her husband and believed his endearments to be true. His use of her special nick name made her smile.
"And I love you, my devil." She said with her patented tinkling laugh, pulling up his body and moving into a kiss. No doubt he could taste himself in her mouth. They kissed and snuggled a bit before putting themselves back together for the party. On the way Tierney stopped Alex for a moment.
"Alex? Honestly I'm not sure about this party tonight. I'm going to do my best but, I want you to do something for me okay? If I decide this party is not for me. I want you to promise me you will stay and enjoy it." She saw him start to object. Stopping him, she put her finger to his lips.
"No, I mean it. I want you to get everything out of this party you ever wanted. Then I want you to come back to me. I want you to tell me about it every detail. If I have to leave. I may be fine with the party. I just don't know. From what I can tell there will be more of them during our time on board. So even though I'm not sure about tonight, there will be other chances. It would help me if you would do as I ask okay?"
With that they made it to the Captain's door. They didn't even have to knock before the Captain himself opened it. He was a strong and handsome looking fellow. He welcomed them inside. The cabin was sumptuous but everywhere Tierney looked people were in various states of undress and activities best kept in private. Her face grew warm. She began to feel very uncomfortable.
Tierney and Alex were about the only people fully dressed in the entire suite. Shelly and the man Tierney had been interested in were fully engaged in some steamy sex. They didn't seem to care or know that people were watching.
She was sure her face was flaming red at this point. She tried to be nice. She tried to act like it was just another charity soiree but it soon became clear to her that was going to be impossible. Not only was she taken aback by the activities and state of dress she was also, she realized, very tired. That was to be expected since she was still recovering from being drugged twice, raped and getting so sick. She had so hoped to have more energy and less inhibitions.
After a drink, she made her excuses. She just had to leave. Tierney hated the feeling she was letting Alex down. She hated missing out on such an opportunity too. It was hard to be good and bad at the same time. Being a Southern lady, was challenging under many circumstances. This was one of those times. Tierney was trying to get past her hidebound training. She wanted to just enjoy what her husband had made available to her but it would take her some time to do so when she wasn't drugged or with strangers.
She went out on deck. Staring up that the stars for a moment she felt a little better. Tierney looked for that dark line that showed the demarcation of the horizon between the twin midnight blues of the sky and the ocean. In spite of her cowardly feelings about public play, life was good at this moment, she thought. Looking back up at the millions of stars in the sky she hugged herself to ward off the chilld in her thin dress and smiled.
