Is this something that could be picked up at a tack store or possible somewhere else other than a BDSM house? They are so darned expensive there.

Yeah, seems like I got a horsehair whip in a tack shop. But I doubt you'd find a silk one. Actually you can make a string flogger pretty easy that feels like horsehair. Sorta.

this is probably really out of line for me to post, but serijules makes some beautiful satin floggers. she should probably be the one to pimp her website, but i have no social knowledge.

i don't know if you should have posted it or not....

...but i think i need to go shopping now!

What would the satin that Serijules offers feel like in comparison to horsehair?

Has anyone bought one of hers and if so, what do you think?

horse hair is very stingy. I haven't felt satin. I have heard that satin doesn't "clean" very well.

Since when does one "clean" their floggers???

I treat mine with Pecard leather dressing and sometimes give it a little spray of Staphene.

I think a sub would appreciate a clean flogging more than one from a nappy flogger that has body fluids on it from the last time you used it. And multiplying bacteria.

Yeah, or pussy juices, or blood even Ewwww

another question about cleanliness (I clean my floggers - leather) can one adequately clean a horsehair flogger? I thought it was impossible to actually "sanitize" hair...

One thing to be careful of, is that if the real horsehair breaks off and enters the skin you can get a pretty bad infection. There are several suppliers out there for them. Google "horse hair flogger" and you can see reputable ones.

I don't advertise my floggers much as I prefer to make and sell when I have time rather than take orders, thus why I rarely promote them, but thank you for the compliment :)

My floggers can be cleaned with soapy water and hung up to dry and straighten out.

I also make rubber ones that are a hell of a lot thuddier and stingier than the ones you find at most kink stores...what are those called, they come in really bright colors and are very thin with zero sting. I have a purple and black rubber and a olive/light green satin available I've been intending to ebay but haven't gotten around to it yet.

The satin ones do have quite a sting to them, not because of the satin, but rather the way I seal the ends to prevent fraying...it creates a sensation like a bunch of insects stinging on you. Not a severe sensation, but not as mild as one would think when thinking "satin".

REAL horsehair can be cleaned with mane and tail shampoo. Horsehair will be expensive no matter where you purchase it, tack shop or kink store. It is very valuable and hard to come by as a horse needs its tail and what they shed out or can be combed out is nowhere near enough for a flogger. We have 25+ head of horses and I still don't have enough hair collected from grooming, fence rubbing, and trimming out a bit to make myself a flogger, lol.

We tend to keep floggers for separate people...ie: certain floggers that cannot be easily sanitized are used on one person only. Seems like the smart thing to do.

You can also think about using saran wrap to keep a persons body oils and dirt off the floggers, and add a bit of bondage to the scene :)

OMG! I think I'm in lust... Hmmmm... I have a birthday coming up June 4th...
*ponderponderponder*

Here is a light green and olive one I have on hand that is for sale.

Also a picture of the rubber one. It is now sold, but I don't have a picture on my website so just thought I would share. I hate this flogger...it really hurts when Ma'am uses it full strength on my thighs or cunt *shudders*

All of these are absolutely stunning! They also look like they'd be so much fun to use! I think I know what my next toy purchase is going to be after my canes... :rose:

Am grateful for the information! :rose: Neon

(and religious about cleaning my current floggers, both leather)

Beautiful, beautiful work serijules. Me and my little one are now quite interested in your floggers.

Definitely have to keep this in mind. Latex free on anything I get, as janey is literally deathly allergic to latex.

you could probably make one yourself out of silk ribbon - that way you have any colour you want. Just braid the ribbons together and hem the ends to stop them fraying.

Im not fond doing latex anyhow, is so time consuming.

The order form is down right now....am trying to figure out what the issue is as I know it's right but it doesn't agree with me.

WHERE'S A DOM WHEN YOU NEED ONE???! I gotta website that needs a beatin!

Ok I fixed it.

It wasn't the website, was just me being impatient.
Haha .....don't you hate that. Oh well you are only answering to yourself on this one Seri. Least you can enjoy the premise this time.

I love the olive colored one btw. So tempting , I am however on self enforced spending restrictions at the moment , damn me.

I love picking unusual color combinations to make...SO many people order just plain black or the usual black and purple or black and pink type combos. I really like making the more unusual ones. One of the neatest I ever did was a combo I called "scotch"...was dark brown and mustard yellow. Had a really unusual look to it.
