A question for the ladies of Lit if you can help me please ?

Due to some medical problems, my doctor has decided to try giving me hormone pills. I have been on them for about a week and suddenly today I am a weepy, depressed mess. I am not like this and I am very upset. I have cried about 5 times today already and I am going nuts.

Has anyone had this happen to them ? Can hormone pills cause this kind of reaction ?

I can't even listen to music right now cuz it makes me cry.

I don't see why they wouldn't. Some get all weepy and emotional during PMS, which is caused by hormones. I wish I could help though. Sounds downright sucky.

Yes, they can and will, for the first few months.

I have taken them before. It takes a little while for your body to become, for lack of a better word, balanced. Give it a few more months and it won't be so bad.

I was on hormone Pills for penis enlargement,(didn't work,)and, I reacted the exact same way.

If it doesn't get better in a couple months or its just unbearable ask for a different pill. There are several formulations and strengths of both birth control pills and hormone replacement.

Thanks so much you guys. Now I am not so freaked now. This is driving me nuts. Up and down, up and down. I prefer to do my ups and downs in a different way. ( heh )
