I think I'd go nuts too...but it would be the Summer and I wouldn't have to worry about getting someone to watch my son...plus I get to sunbathe...

Have had to been up really early the past two day to take my wife to the hospital for tests. She needed to have a thyroid scan so they can tell whats wrong with her thyroid. Her levels are a bit high.

Oh, yeah..I went through that...I am diagnosed with Grave's Disease...(Hyper active thyroid) They ended up killing off my thyroid (2x's) and now I take synthroid to regulate it. Sending her good wishes...it'll be ok.

She is just tired of all the poking and proding she has had to endure the past year and a half. First Hep C then Cateract surgery, now this.

My wife had half of hers out a few years ago and takes synthroid now...then there was the strand of pearls the doctor told her she'd get...

I never got pearls for my perils...

I got poked with needles so many times, I was telling the nurse EXACTLY where the best place to get the blood out of me!!!

It was the doc's suggestion coz they fit over the scar.

I'm surprised they still take them out that way...they killed mine off with radioactive medicine...

This was '98 or so...they wanted to see if the remaining half would do the job, I guess.

Hmmm....I think I'm going on 15 years....it's just a pain in the ass to always worry about the weight issue. (which is why I exercise so very much!!)

My wife is hugely unhappy w her weight those she's not that far over weight. Just after baby weight she hasn't been able to take off but her doc insists it's not the thyroid so won't chang synthroid dosage...I have questions about it.

They say the same for me. Everytime I go up a pound (and don't change the diet or exercise) I truly believe it's my thyroid levels. I go every year and have it checked out...they say it's fine. If she isn't happy with her doctor, go find another.
