Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination..... End of debate!
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of specific law and how to best follow them as a true believer. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her? I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. Can you clarify? I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?

Plantation owners used to quote the Bible to justify the owning of Black slaves. I had a freaky neighbor who used various quotes from the Bible to show that interracial sex is a sin.
Some Christians believe that gays are an abomination that should be removed from the earth. Others take a more tolerant approach. Still others see gays as misguided but not evil. If it were all so cut and dried - if the Bible was so straightforward - why are there so many separate religions based on it? Why do these religions interpret the Bible totally differently?
That said, we're all free to believe whatever we want. You hate gays? Fine, that's your right. You don't have the right to harass or beat them any more than you have the right to harass or beat ANYONE, but you have the right to see them as lower than human. The flip side of this is that others have the right to tell you that you're an ignorant misinformed bigot. You then have the right to tell them they're fag-loving sinners who are going to hell. And so the intelligent debate continues...
The beauty of a free society is that you have the right to hate people for whatever reason you want. You can hate them because they're over 6 feet tall. You can hate them because they're Black. You can hate them because they wear pinky rings. If it's Dennis Rodman, you can hate him for all three reasons.
But you must also realize that by the same token, they have the right to be who they are. That's called freedom. You don't like it, you can always move to Iran.
A side note...when we're talking about gay marriage, we're not saying that any church has to accept or perform homosexual marriage. All advocates want is for gay partners to have the same LEGAL protections as heterosexual couple. That's it. Religion doesn't enter into it. If two women want to have the same rights to health care and property as a hetero couple, how is that any of your business? Why do YOU care? Do you want a gay couple telling YOU how to live your life?
It's called separation of church and state. And before you bitch & moan about it, ask yourself: do you want to live in a predominantly Muslim country where Christians are persecuted and only Muslim values are preached? Doesn't sound fair, does it? You have no more right to force your religion on a Muslim than he on you. If you want to be treated with tolerance and respect, you must show a little bit yourself.
