I am sick and tired of the so called gay movement being shoved down my throat, between their whining about spousal benefits at their jobs as if husband and wife, their gay parades, their teaching my children about immoral behavior in school. I am surprised to hear the term "Good Lord" and homosexuality is normal in the same paragraph. If you have ever read the bible you would know that homosexuality is considered an "abomination". I don't want my kids to learn about sex during elementary school.

now, post a verse (or two) where your god or your Jesus openly condems homosexuality, including the version of the bible you got it from, the book it's in, chaper, and verse number, and then i'll take back what i said above...

Sex ed, here, started in 5th grade elementary school. Then, in 6th grade middle school, there was another class. I don't know what your public schools teach, but they told of how to deal with and take care of periods, phermones, and things like that. Well I hate to break it to you Motorhead

but there are pre-teens having sex as we speak and I would be willing to bet it is because those children were not properly educated at a young age how to respect sex. You can't make something go away by burying your head in the sand.. or in this case, burying your childrens heads by not educating them about procreation.

As for homosexuals, I believe it should be taught that there is nothing wrong with it. That is the way I raise my son. He doesn't know a lot about sex (he thinks it is taking off your clothes and kissing right now) but he is aware that gay men like other men instead of women and vice versa. Him knowing about it doesn't make it more likely or less likely that he himself will become a homosexual. I think this is what you're afraid of.

I wrote a speech in college about same sex marriages/adoption and was against it initially, then I began to research my point to find various supportive articles. I found more articles in direct opposition to my initial stance than I ever imagined. I came to the realization that maybe I was being narrow-minded. So my speech ended up being for same sex marriages and adoption.

If the person you choose to spend the rest of your life with is the same sex, that should not be a limitation on the legality of marriage. I've heard too many horror stories about life partners dying and the family taking everything away from the other person just because they did not approve and had every legal right to do so because there was no legal marriage. I think this is fundamentally wrong and should not be allowed to happen.

Scylis, the entire Bible is made up entirely of humans quoting and writing about God and Jesus, and others.

God didn't write the Bible. I'm a virtual retard when it comes to religion, but I'm fairly sure about this.

The most oft-quoted passage refers to God saying that a man shall not lay with another man- that it was an abomination, or words to that effect.

Okay, why don't we just for fun replace Homosexuality with say.....Hockey (don't flame me for this, I don't have anything against hockey, it's just switching two unrelated lifestyles and activities)

Group A loves and plays hockey, and will continue playing hockey if it's legal or not. Hockey is in their blood.

Group B hates hockey, they find it extremely vulgar and don't think it's good for society and would like to see it banned. They're afraid their children might be exposed to it and start playing hockey. They hate hockey players, and feel that God is opposed to that kind of activity.

Group C not only loves and plays hockey, but thinks everybody should play hockey, and wants more hockey players. Maybe hockey should be everywhere you look. How about International Hockey Day.

Group D has seen hockey a couple of times, and doesn't care for it. This group also can't tell who the hockey players are when they aren't on the ice (unless they wear their uniforms everywhere), so it doesn't really effect them enough to care one way or the other.

If hockey were illegal, I would be in Group D, but would vote with group A.
