homemade enemas

i was wondering if it is necessary to get a commercial enema because, in theory, it sounds like it could be accomplished at home. does anyone have anything they'd like to share regarding this?

You need to buy a commercial enema. Any drug store sells them for about $12.
The purpose of an enema is to clense but the process is not real clean and that is why you need a real one. There are several sites on the web with information on how to enjoy a safe and relaxing enema.

I am not an enema expert, but this doesn't seem like the best (or most hygienic) solution. There is a lot more to an enema than just water...

I think the best thing to do is to just run out and grab one at the drugstore...

Is there a reason that you would want to try and make your own?

Enemas have been around much longer than drug stores. Premixed enemas in disposable applicators is a relatively new product -- less than ten years or so -- and you pay for the convenience.

A Hot Water bottle with Douche/Enema attachments (or an Enema Bag smaler than a hot water bottle but basically the same.) works just fine and is a one-time expense. You can fill it with warm soapy water, or whatever else you want to use for the enema itself.

well, i just think i would be too embarrassed to buy one at a store, so i just wondered if i could get the same results at home. thanks, everyone. keep them coming...

Buying an enema shouldn't be any more embarassing than buying things like condoms, laxatives, Magic Shave(tm) or many other things. If you let embarassment control what you buy, then you'll do without a good many things in life.
