LA wants the governor to declare a "homeless Emergency" so they can bypass laws and grab more money.

This is nifty shit. By policy they've created a situation. Rather than own up to their complicity they want to declare an emergency to bypass the very laws they passed and to have the ability to dig even deeper into the taxpayers wallet.

Of interest to me was a quote from the very end of the article.

“Everybody has a right to live under a roof — preferably in permanent housing, if necessary in navigation centers,” he said. “It starts with that acknowledgment.”

There it is, housing is a "right" now, at least in one politicians consideration.

If you read the article one of the goals is to bypass the HOA rules. (The reference to NIMBY.) So I guess the notion isn't to raise anyone up, just tear everyone else down.

They are buried under so many regulations even their own governments have to declare an emergency just to attempt to function.
