The Indians had guns at the Little Big Horn..in fact they were better armed than Custer's troops. His soldiers had breach-loading single shot rifles while they had repeating Springfields. And Custer left his Gatling guns back with the supply trail..he believed that the heavy Gatling would slow him up too much.
