You ever have it.. your home alone.. its pretty quite.. you going about doing your thing... and then you hear the loud bang on the window.. or door.. or just a noise that disturbs your thoughts.. I hate that.. cause then I have to go check it out.. but like just a few minutes ago.. find nothing.. errg... Its just freaky is all.. What do you all think? You ever have those moments?

Most "Home alone" threads are asking for cyber.

If I was closer, I'd come over and check around the house for you.

it's gotta be a dude breaking in....go hide!

If there's a noise here, the fucking dog screams like a BanSheed and whatever it is runs like a bitch. But the dog is waaaay more annoying then any loud bang could be. He was fixed as a child before his balls dropped- so he's a castratto. His bark makes your flesh crawl.

Baby, I've been waiting,
I've been waiting night and day.
I didn't see the time,
I waited half my life away.
There were lots of invitations
and I know you sent me some,
but I was waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

I know you really loved me.
but, you see, my hands were tied.
I know it must have hurt you,
it must have hurt your pride
to have to stand beneath my window
with your bugle and your drum,
and me I'm up there waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

Ah I don't believe you'd like it,
You wouldn't like it here.
There ain't no entertainment
and the judgements are severe.
The Maestro says it's Mozart
but it sounds like bubble gum
when you're waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

Waiting for the miracle
There's nothing left to do.
I haven't been this happy
since the end of World War II.

Nothing left to do
when you know that you've been taken.
Nothing left to do
when you're begging for a crumb
Nothing left to do
when you've got to go on waiting
waiting for the miracle to come.

I dreamed about you, baby.
It was just the other night.
Most of you was naked
Ah but some of you was light.
The sands of time were falling
from your fingers and your thumb,
and you were waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

Ah baby, let's get married,
we've been alone too long.
Let's be alone together.
Let's see if we're that strong.
Yeah let's do something crazy,
something absolutely wrong
while we're waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

Nothing left to do ...

When you've fallen on the highway
and you're lying in the rain,
and they ask you how you're doing
of course you'll say you can't complain --
If you're squeezed for information,
that's when you've got to play it dumb:
You just say you're out there waiting
for the miracle, for the miracle to come.

lmao.. Not sure what it was .. I looked around.. didn't see anything.. sound like someone threw something at the window.. but I am thinking it was a bird.. I just thought yesterday being a -2. that the birds wouldn't be flying about.. hmm.. I looked for birds too.. cause usually they either break their necks or are to stunned to fly at the time.. But nope no one trying to break in..lol..

I have had that happen though before though .. It was me and another girl home alone together( no not like that) . We were 17yrs old at the time.. I was sleeping in a reclining chair.. she was playing video games.. she woke me telling me she heard something.. I was like its probably nothing.. she was like okay.. But a few minutes later she woke me again.. this time I listened.. and sure enough.. there was a rattling sound. Someone was trying to open the locked window in my parents bedroom closet. They then moved to the upstairs window.. which was also locked.. then I called some friends to see if it was them messing with us.. but when they answered their phones, knew it wasn't them.(no cellphone back then). By that time the noise of someone trying to get into the house at the back door was loud.. so I turned on as many lights as I could, even outside lights, and the tv up real loud.. I was on the phone with another friend.. whose husband was on his way over.. Thank god.. When he got there he checked all windows.. thankfully all still locked, but when we got to the back door.. it had been jimmed open.. and I think we scared who ever it was away when we turned on the lights and tv.. So yes.. sudden noises freak me out.. I believe my friend and I were lucky.. Don't ask me why I didn't call the police, because I am not sure. Maybe I though what if it was one of my dumb ass friends trying to freak me out.. hmm glad nothing became of it.. and I didn't have a repet after that.. I made sure to always leave some lights on..

Someone tried to break into your house - you didn't report it.
You were raped - you didn't report it.
I'm seeing a pettern here.

And you can't write for shit. Go back to school.

Yes, Mrs.Worrior Queen. I realize I can't write worth shit.

However, the reporting thing was a scared and naive 18yr old. Who had already gone through to much shit and wasn't sure how much more she could handle.

I didn't call the police because I was worried if it had been a friend messing with us. I didn't want them to get into trouble.

If your going to jump my shit for spelling and shit like that. Then maybe you should read over your own stuff and make sure its correct too.

See? You CAN use the edit function!

Wait...

Are people, adults here, really saying that they're afraid to be home alone?

I'm with the puppy- take a self defense class, get a gun. Get a fucking dog. That's ridiculous, to be scared in your own house. You know that you can do better then that.

And my first response to a break-in is not to call the cops. Why bother them if you can take care of it yourself? I don't really trust cops. But, I also don't trust people in general, so I like to have a police report, so that there's a paper-trail for when the shit hits the proverbial fan.

And at 18 I was far more likely to hurt someone or take action then I am now- I'm the opposite of you. We've matured in different ways- you've grown and I've mellowed. It's just about learning that the world is what it is- that you can't change it, and that you just have to deal. That makes things far easier to deal with. Take the weight of the world off your shoulders.
