Ho Hum F1 is over for another year

Another F1 race was run here in Indianapolis over the weekend and I find myself yawning and asking why bother having one again next year. Most of us here in Central Indiana cannot afford the high priced tickets and those choosing to attend do not appreciate all the snobbery of the out of town-out of country fans attending the event. Let's not even discuss the No Man's Land where royalty and the rich party behind layers of private security that even local law enforcement are not allowed to enter. I don't expect to see the bounty of bared breasts common to the Indianapolis 500 or Brickyard 400 at F1, there's enough high priced plastic already on display in the cars. It's just the ever present in your face attitude of 'we belong and you don't' exhibited by the F1 crowd in general that really annoys me.....

Ive never seen a f1 race except on tv. I would love to someday though. Ive heard someone is getting an american team together. If there were more races in the states with an american team maybe some of the common folk would come out and support them. America is hooked on stock car racing-down home dirt track circle racing. That is fine im sure but nothing to compare with the speed and driving challenges of F1. They truly are the best drivers in the world. Ok whats the big deal about driving around in a circle??? Sorry I dont (get) Nascar

Viewers not the sport

My complaint is with those coming from out of town, more so out of the US. The stories I could relay from friends who work in the restaurant and hospitality fields here would amaze you as money is no guarantee of class or manners by the behaviors of said guests. I'm a big fan of the Grand Prix run at Monaco and Long Beach and was in hopes the F1 here would be played out through the more challenging urban steets and not as just a large scale rent-a-racer course as it has.....

Tony George paid 300million for it, and you expect F1 to just accidentally race in the streets?

Go to the canadian GP if you want a real track, and real racing.

The US GP is a corporate event, not a race... no matter what the teams do.

Hopefully before i get too old dry up and blow away i will get to hear the incredible sound of F1 racing. Nothing else can compare im sure.

And if you need someone to support, Jaques Villneueve is your man, Canadian ..but he'll do.
