Hmm beer!!

I don't personally like beer - though the only beer I have tried is Bud so there might be some out there but I personally don't like drinking bread.

Oh there are so many good beers out there, so I'm sure you should be able to find one you will like. I can't remember if you are in the US, but I've tried some very good beers from a couple of micro breweries there, so they might be interesting to look into as well.

Thank god for people who decide to drink stranger things. Otherwise the scotch would not have had us drinking malts, the russians potatoes, and the mexicans cactus juice.

On a hot day, at a baseball game, i would much rather drink cold bread than eat hot rolls.

Has anyone here ever had Rauchbier? personally i liked kolsch a lot better than weissenbier, but that that is me. Give me a pale ale any day of the week.

My drink of choice is vodka - which is odd because I hate eating potatoes in any other form, fried, chipped, scalloped or boiled. Ick.

Ever had a budweiser? not the American version, the Czech one.

No, but I've never had a Czech beer I didn't love.

Not that I've had that many.

I recently went to a beer festival and tried thisSpeckled Hen

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice to sup and brought a good buzz on. Very mellow.

I don't know if you get it over there tho.

I like ciders too.

I've been trying to stay away from alchohol recently, but this thread is making me thirsty!

May have to go pick up a 6-pack of Newcastle Brown and get my malt and yeast fix!

I haven't had alcohol for more than a month, but I do have alcohol sitting in the pantry. I'm not a heavy drinker by any means - I only drink when I feel good.

When i lived in Bonn, i got used to beer as a beverage. You could order it at McDonalds the Mensa (student cafeteria) had beer machines. It was not unusual to see a construction worker having a beer with his lunch.

I kept that up when i got home, but after i moved to alaska, my drinking took a steep decline. It is one thing to say, on a hot North Carolina day, I need a beer. It is quite another to say that in the depths of an Alaskan winter.

But i still enjoy a good brew.

I'm with you Xelebes! Vodka - yum.. Vox is my favorite, although I have been told I have to try Ultimat
