Hm. Best to just ignore this instead of giving in to random curiosity.

Whose Point Of View Should book 5IVE Be In?

Hello, there.

You either got my email regarding this post or gave in to random curiosity. Therefore, here's my deal;

(and for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about - sorry)

smokeSCREEN : book5IVE begins with all our protagonists scattered about the downtown area.

Michelle and Richard are off to the the Tower, who the fuck knows what's up with Cypress, and Crow's left heading up the Terminal, with nary a friend but Sophie.

Now, to be entirely honest, all book five really needs is Crow's point of view. However, at time dramatic context would be better to have Sophie's, and I'd really like to include all the lovely little things that happen to Michelle and Richard when they get to the Tower in 5ive.

Now, If you've read bookpHOR, I've thrown the randomly-switching-POVs at you. And to properly tell all the events, I'll need to swtich.

And so, I put it to you - the reading public. Whaddaya think?

TAKE THE POLL!!

book5IVE should be in...

1 - Crow's POV - natch.

2 - Crow & Michelle's POV. Perhaps even with some Sophie thrown in for spice.

just about a story

Just a story I'm working on - asking people's opinions on how they think it should go.

I like the multiple shots. Although it gave me a small tizzy trying to figure out what was going on in the one that just came out. But it all comes together in the end.

So, 2.

Where is the pompous jackass choice?

On a kinder and gentler note...This may have been more suitable for the Author's Hangout forum and you may have generated newly interested parties.

I like the multiple points of view. Suddenly, I'm interested in Sophie, wouldn't mind hearing more from her. Another guys perspective (Richard?) might be great about now. Are we ever going to hear from Jessie?

I like the ideo of multiple POV's

I REALLY like they story, too, it's probably about the best thing I've ver read on literotica, keep up the good work Riven!

hhmm, i haven't read the part 2 of book phor, buuuut....hmm, a new guy? damn, i don't know, maybe it's just me, but i would have like to have seen only Cypress getting along with the entire floor 13 (if you know what i mean). Perhaps it's just me....=P anyways, i wouldn't mind hearing from Sophie...buuut, i wanna hear from Cat or Kat (However you spell it) as wellm, since i haven't heard from her....but, since i didn't read part 2, so i don't really know yet. But once again, Cypress and floor 13 would be pretty interesting no? hahaha, =P Well, that's my 7.62 Cents...

ninpuucho...

My choice...

Personally I'd opt for #2 as it seems to me that to follow the storyline more fully it'd be best to have some from all three of the 'girls' POV, but let's not let Cypress languish unforgotten. A visit would be nice to see 'where he is' too.

I think 2 is good. I like Crow's personality the best at the moment, so i think it might be a good idea to keep her and cypress together. but to see everything that is happening at the same time, i think it is nesscary to have the story told from another point of view at the same time (Michelle)... :)

Keep up the good work! :D This story is definatly one of hte best i've ever read on Lit. :)

multiple povs is the best option, in my opinion. the end of part two of book phor was amazing, and i think that seeing the same situation from multiple angles gives a greater understanding of what's going on.

I love to be surprised.

See? When I first posted bookpHOR, I got like three emails in a row complaining about the multiple povs. I totally expected you guys to shoot the concept down.

How nice to be proven wrong.

So looks like it's Michelle & Crow next book - meantime I'll answer questions;

mm - sucka dank.

Reverie - No, we'll never see thing from Jessie's pov. I always saw Jessie kinda' like the guy who picks on Matt Damon in the bar in Good Will Hunting - remember him? The guy with the ponytail? What a schlub.

Unregistered - I know, I know. There's this part deep down inside that want's too see Cypress manipulate his way under every single bandolier and pair of military pants on Floor Thirteen, but let's face it - that's not Cypress. (sigh) He'll probably end up doing the honorable thing. That's why I introduced Richard - he seems badass enough to break a few hearts.

Phoenix Prime - I've not forgotten about the swordsman - he's simply gone insane at the moment. I wanted to kind of give him a boogeyman quality by the end of book4 / beginning of book5 - this will make it all the harder to talk some sense into him when the time comes, assuming Crow ever gets her head out of her ass and just bitch-slaps Lisa.

...that's... about everything. For the moment I'm letting people vote on the pov and dickin' around with a vampire story here on the message boards - trying to finish editing something that I've already had WAY too many extentions on.

Thanks everyone!

Yours,

-Caulfield

Hey, i'm all for the honor and stuff, and i even follow it as best as i can, but it's like almost end of the world for them, and also, if the girls are willing, hey, i'm all up for it. hahahaha. hhmm, maybe i'm just a perv...hahahah, =P anyway, any chance i can change your mind, and give Richard to the other floors and give floor 13 to Cypress? come on, the guy needs at least three girls, and here's my reasoning....

1. For Cypress himself.
2. For the Wolf
3. For when the Wolf and Cypress at last join forces and become a new identity...

See, there you go, at least three, so why not go all the way? and give him the entire floor 13? =P Can i get an AMEN? =P hahahaha...well, that's about it...talk to you guys later.

to completely jump in and mix up the thread... ( i really don't think you're a rip off, nor to i particularly care even if you were, good writing, good read etc. )
i would really enjoy seeing crows reaction to it all, i mean we're getting bits and pieces but i think that an entire book in her pov would really add something.

i didn't dig the mixing of the pov thing in book phor, understand why it had to be done, but i was having a hard time following... i think that keeping a general single pov per book helps to get interest in the character and keep story flow...

rock on tho, very good so far....

Orpheus and Eurydice

Greek Mythology. Try doing a bit of research. It helps with characterization. Please try to be a little more original. Chris Gains? Please. Garth Brooks has enough mileage out of that already. When you can be more creative in this respect, then and only then can you afford to be so arrogant. Until then, you are just a pain in the ass.

Well, fair enough, unregistered.

I certainly never meant to come off as arrogant. I write stories I enjoy, and Lit puts them up. A few people are supportive and ask me for more, and I try to include them in my process.

Those who aren't interested in my work generally just don't bring it up. I appreciate your criticism, and I'll certainly compare my character names to pop music artists before posting next time.

Thank you.
