I would love to write or read a story about period drama..

Some of the BBC period dramas such as the Tudors or larford to ??? have rather interesting (and in some weird way_ provocative costumes!!

Set in the 16-18 century, the time of corsets, boned wide skirts, preferably a story containing at least a sapphic story line,

A wealthy female, with a maid whose husband is often away travelling with work seduces her maid they become lovers, no one knows as the maid sleeps in a room of her Madam's suite to be 'on call'

The story would have lots of attention to the clothing of the day....

Ah, yes, Showtime's The Tutors is a great show. And when you watch it on their network you get the naked bits.

My only historical story is "Porn With the Wind," set in Confederate America. There are maids and hoop-skirts galore, but alas, the sex is all hetero in this one.

A couple of ideas. Considering your location I would think some of your local museums would be a good source of information.

Also the local chapters of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) are folks who play at persona's of midieval times. They have tons of information on accurate period dress.

Hope this helps.

... or larford to ??? ...
Officially "Larkrise to Candleford" but unofficially "Larkshit to Candlewax" as the latest series has the originator (Flora Thompson) fairly spinning in her grave, it is so stupid..

None of which are particularly authentic, and all of which are far too clean.

... Set in the 16-18 century, ...
LtC is late 19th.
