She may truly be struggling to reconcile her marital vows with her raging desire to experience another man who makes her feel the tingly rush of falling in love again or whom she imagines might be able to satisfy her in ways her husband can't.

"He and I are just friends, honest." (The old standby)
"Yes, I've talked with him a few times but I can't really remember if we've ever been alone." (Sudden memory loss)
"Okay yes, he and I seem to have some kind of chemistry, I'll admit that. But you and I are married, darling. I wouldn't do anything to harm our marriage." (The struggle is real)
"If we weren't married, he's probably the kind of guy I would like to date." (Testing the waters?)
