DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK
------------------------------
At 1000 PM CDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Hilary was
located near latitude 11.5 North, longitude 100.2 West. Hilary is
moving toward the west-northwest near 14 mph (22 km/h) and this
general motion is expected to continue with a decrease in forward
speed during the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with
higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast during the next
48 hours, and Hilary could become a hurricane on Monday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 35 miles (55 km)
from the center.

Many of the early models NHC watches before storms form indicated that this would be 'the big one' of the season, probably a Category 5.

So far, it has failed to perform as modeled and may end up being very much weaker than estimated.

Sound familiar?

He couldn't get it up, degenerated and fizzled:

Remnants Of Don Advisory Number 6

So Hillary never got as strong as predicted, has weakened earlier than predicted and by some accounts is now be absorbed by the underdog Irwin who had always been smaller and weaker.

The parallels are almost uncanny.

I honestly thought this was about her new book.

This is a far better topic.
