Here's the solution and it doesn't cost you a penny: Go back as far as you please. Every economic recovery required the same two things, 1. new technology that created popular appliances, and 2. new technology that created labor saving applications (increased production).
At the end of the 1873 depression John D.Rockefeller created Standard Oil and nickel kerosene to light America, kerosene killed 95 cent whale oil and the American whaling industry. Andrew Carnegie killed the wood barrel industry with steel drums. Edison invented light bulbs. Bell invented the telephone.
Around 1920, at the end of the 1920 depression, airplanes, and cheap cars, and modern kitchen appliances came along, with sliced bread and peanut butter.
About 1960 we got the interstate road system, color television, transistors, and space satellites. Lasers!
In 1977 we got microcomputers.
