Throughout 2016, the Remington Outdoors company built up its inventory of firearms in anticipation of Hillary Clinton winning the presidential election. After all, as everyone saw when Obama was president, he clamped down hard on gun sales and had ATF agents going house to house to confiscate people's guns. That same overbearing government intrusion was fully expected when Hillary became president so the only counter was to have as many people buy as many guns as possible before she implemented laws to curb sales and limit ownership.

Unfortunately for Remington, and all gun manufacturers, the con artist's collusion with Russia thwarted those sales and as a direct result, Remington has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Cerebrus Capital Management, which owns a majority stake in the company, declined to comment.

When Remington reorganizes it is quite obvious they will have to lay off people and since this is Hillary's fault, the con artist will come out clean as a whistle.

She's not killing jobs. Her loss killed jobs. The threat of her election victory increased sales and production, but her actual loss has abated sales and cut production.
Not to worry too much, though, because if the public thinks that the anti-gun Dems can take control of both houses of Congress and override Trump's veto, then 'election-year fear' sales will increase. I'm sure that the NRA will do its part in promoting this.

Truth in disclosure: I love in a city that whose economy is heavily supported by, though not solely dependent upon, the manufacture of parts for the AR-15, M16, M4, and a few handguns. We would have lost either way, but IMHO, it happened much faster with Trump's election. Clinton, through X-O, was going to make it unprofitable to be in the business of gun manufacturing and sales by opening up businesses to civil actions by gunshot victims, thereby requiring businesses to carry a lot of liability insurance and pay sky-high premiums.
