next weekend in my 20 year high school reunion. I know it's crazy. So yes, I'm going. Thanks to Facebook I can now see, read, and recognize the lives of most people that are going. The other night I was watching a chick flick about highschool sweet hearts and it got me thinking...

I remember a time that I used to prey to god that if I could get the attention of this one boy my life would be completely awesome. He was so handsome and polished. I used to melt at his voice and smile.

My question has anyone here married their highschool sweetheart? Do you remember who he/she was? Could you describe them after all this time?
Have you tried to find them on Facebook?

For the record, I married mine. Still madly in love with him after all these years! Oh and the 20th reunion I went to was horrid. Not much changed in 20 years!

I had a crush on a girl in 9th grade.

We reconnected a year ago over Facebook

Our lives have ran parallel and we are currently both single and not dating

We live 1800 miles apart and talk daily

When I move back home, we are going on a date

Four months after I became engaged to my high school sweetheart, he was killed by a drunk driver.

That is awful...I'm so sorry for your loss...:rose:

I was a forces kid with a mother with wanderlust so haven't got any school friends from my early years...I went to at least 10 schools before the age of 13then I went to an all girls school...

We're not massively into school reunions here...they're becoming more popular but when I was invited to my school reunion, I couldn't think of anything I wanted to do less...they've all wasted their potential and turned into middle class housewives with nothing to talk about except how much their husbands earn...

Unfortunately, I was far too stupid to listen to all the great advice from those not having their heads up their ass....and I married mine.

30 years ago on Thursday....what I wouldn't give to go back and change that

middle class housewives with nothing to talk about except how much their husbands earn.....they are worth half of it all.....behind every good man is a good woman....or a new trophy wife.

Oh fuck it....someone has to raise the kids. Choices are made and sometimes that is what you are stuck with....talking about your husbands salary.

I married my high school sweetheart. We started dating right before I graduated and have now been together for 13 years and married for coming on 7 years.

I still think the funny part of it is that she was basically using me as a booty call when we got together. Jokes on her I guess.

I had a massive crush on a girl in highschool for around four years but was too gutless to do anything about it.
Jett was a timid soul.
We got engaged around the same time and I remember ringing her up to congratulate her and we had a great chat.
It was funny because our grandmothers were in the same retirement home and used to gossip about us.

Similar to Slinger. Married to a girl I dated in High School for thirty years. She is a different woman from the girl I married, but I am sure I am different from that boy as well.

Such a sweet story...I love hearing this...lovely...:heart::heart::heart:

I asked my HSS to marry me after graduation and she turned me down. Recently I caught up with her on Facebook and found out she's a diehard Christian Right Wing Republican. Now I'm glad she turned me down!

Sort of married my "high school sweetheart" in a round about way.

Husband worked at the gas station we always went to and had a HUGE crush on him from the time I was 14. He's three years older and graduated my freshman year. BUT we met when I was a junior and dated for a while until I cheated and broke up with him... he went in the Navy and came back into town right after I graduated... long story short we've been married for 23 years now!

Things seem to happen for a reason!
