Highlander.

MeeSa

"Ga-pu-ri-ellu." MeeSa tried to repeat. These megookin had the oddest names. "Gapuriellu." She bowed respectfully again. "Ahnyounghaseyo."

She turned to the older man and bowed to him with far more respect. "Moksanim, ahnyounghashipshiyo." She stood again, offering her hands to clasp as the western culture seemed to advocate. "Heh-roh."

He spoke to her in hangookuh. It shocked her, her country was small and mostly unknown. "I have travelled far and I am weary. I appreciate your generous hospitality. There is nothing to fear from me."

Gabriel Martin:

Smiling as they were able to comunicate their names at the very least. Brad began to speak her language it would seem. Giving him a look of respect for it, Gabriel stepped backward so that they might engage in introductions.

The battle raged around me and I felt nothing. I smelled gun powder, death and blood, but I cared little. I joined this war as I had joined others, to practice fighting, to kill. Suddenly it made no sense. I had spent a few hundred years since the birth of my immortality chasing wars and death and suddenly I was finished. I fought along side the Americans for their freedom. The British,in their red coats, marched around in order as we took them one by one from the trees, rocks and brush, It was, at times, no more sport than shooting fish in a barrel. As if a bolt of lightening had suddenly struck me, I lost my taste for this. I shoved the pistol into my belt, drew my sword and began the walk away from the skirmish. In the heat of battle, no one would notice as I fought my way to the edge of the clearing. A few recoats did try to stop me, but a quick slice at them ended their futile attempt. I only fought now to get myself out. Finally, in slow motion, I reached the tree row, stepped behind a large trunk and looked back. It was as if I were looking into the pages of a history book. Turning, I shook my head and walked away vowing to never join such a war again. I would no longer fight for anything besides my life. Fighting would never bring back my wife, my two babies and my friends lost in the cleansing of the gypsies. It was done.

Falcon

Falcon aproached with care. This was holey ground and it was not permitted to fight here, but the rules ment nothing to some. The woman looked familiar, and i knew her language, but i was not going to risk my neck, or Gabriels.

"I am Falcon of the McCallics, I know of you MeeSa. Gagriel, if you are done flirting with half the women on the planet, you have work to do, or your flirting days will be cut very short. Work now, Play later."

Falcon gave MeeSa a contemtious look. "If your going to step out into the real world, you better learn the language. Perhaps the good father here will give you a lesson or two. Brad, if you don't mind, i would make use of your barn this day, it's time our young fried here learned a thing or two."

Falcon was in no mood to be messed with.

MeeSa

Her jaws clenched. "I care nothing for this real world of yours, this barbaric land is nothing. I only care about finding the illboninnom. The japanese bastard." MeeSa's eyes flashed toward Gabriel, then back to the woman. "If you are so unsure of holding onto your man, perhaps you should change your tactics."

Falcon

"Holding a man is the last thing i desire, and my tactics are getting shorter than my parience. I know of the one you seek, he hide, coming out to strike and vanishing again. You better find him before i do, cause if i get to the worm first, i'll make sure he dies slow. It seems we a somehting in commen there, so for the moment we will call a truce, I have more important matters at hand."

her looked softened a little, she could feel the other woman's need and felt a little compasion, something that was unusual for Falcon.

Gabriel Martin:

Coming forward, Gabriel nodded to Falcon. "If you wish to teach me, then lets be done with it." Her manner was harsh, he returned it in kind. "MeeSa..." He said, substituting her name for indication of their soon to be departure.

MeeSa

MeeSa put her fist to her palm, bowing her head curtly. Japanese style manners, Japanese style acknowledgement.

"My lover was 5642 years old when he died. He was Divine Master of the Shao-Lin temple in China, Chow Xiang province. He was the way of the Bushido, he was the way of Hwarang. He was the warrior that was unbeatable. He met the Japanese Bastard and agreed to be his teacher. He trusted, his error, and died for it. The Japanese Bastard is wily and he is good. The Japanese Bastard quickened my lover. Should you find him first, be careful."

Falcon nodded curtly, her face stoiccly impassive. Pivoting, she walked away from the little gathering, not bothering to check to see if Gabriel was following.

"You are a better ally than an enemy," MeeSa muttered, then turned to the preist. "The female is correct, I need to learn English. Perhaps, if you are not overwhelmed by duty, would you find time to teach me?"

Falcon

Before heading to the barn, Falcon went to her room, leaving her door open for Gabriel to follow behind her. At the end of her bed was the trunk Brad had kept for her all these years, even bringing it to America with him when he moved here from Europe. Within was her past, her memmories, her pain. Wrapped in soft leather was the item she sort. her dead loves blade, the scabard unchanged after so long, and the blade still as keen as it ever was. A tear escaped down her cheek as she held the blade, but only one, the others had all already been shed. This blade would now serve another, and serve him well.

Father Gibson

"Yes child I will help you learn the languages. What was your boyfreinds name. I might have knowen him. I spent some time in China. Lets just say I have been around. I also studied with some of the Shao-Lin ."I lited my shirt where she could see the mark of the tiger and dragon."I have studied in many differnt lands. While spreading the word of God.Here is a book that will help you learn english. I wrote it while in China. To help the other missonary speak the language. But it should be easy to use both ways."

Blaine MacDaniels

His fist shot out knocking the woman to the ground, he stood above her nostrils flaring. "Do not, back talk me bitch!" He growled.

The half naked woman sobbed on the floor of the small cabin. She held her hands to her brused face, big nasty purple/greenish bruses covered her from head to toe. As well as many scars, some from being cut, others from being burned. She shook with fear, "All I said was that since she is missing, you could now have me all to yourself!"

"I don't want you, your here only to amuse me." He muttered, standing and glancing out the window. "She's out there some where, and when I find where she is hiding, she's going to pay. No future wife of mine is going to disrespect me by running off."

He turned raising a eyebrow,"Get up, get into bed, I'm not done with you yet!" Grinning evilly he climbed on top of her,"Just think of all the time we have together until I find Olivia." The woman's sobs were drowned out by her scream as he thrust into her.....

MeeSa

She accepted the book from the priest and opened it. The neatly written chinese characters were presented with english counterparts. MeeSa knew enough Chinese that it shouldn't be a problem.

"Camsahamnida," she thank him. "I will endeavor in my studies. If I am not too forward, is there a place I might stay? I have travelled far."

Father Gibson

"Yes my child follow me." I took her around and got her some spare cloths. I showed her where she could take a bath. I brought her to her room." This is where you will sleep. If you meed anything just call for me. "I walked out of the room and walked in the main hall of the chrurch.I fell at the alter. I prayed a silent prayer"

MeeSa

The water was boiling hot to the average round eye. MeeSa sunk deeper into it, her skin barely turning red from the steaming heat. Shutting her eyes, she sighed and let herself relax, a bit of civilization at last. Proper bathing had been impossible for the past few years.

She thought about the Priest, the woman, and the large, obviously new, immortal. Mysteries there. The woman knew of the Ilboninnom. She had crossed his paths at least once. As there could be only one, there could be only one to take revenge. Perhaps she knew of this Mack Cloud and where he might be found. Mack Cloud had been the last to see the Ilboninnom, but had seemed to disappear from the face of the earth as well.

Sitting up, MeeSa dried her hands on the towels and opened the book. She leaned over the edge and began to read. This English could not be all that difficult.

Gabriel:

Stepping forward, Gabriel knelt next to Falcon, looking at the blade she held, then up into her face. A tear crawled along her cheek. Gabriel drew a breath and was about to speak when she batted at the tear with the back of her hand and stood. He looked up at her from his crouched position, not wholy sure what he should say to her. He rose slowly as they faced one another.

Father Gibson

I walked in where Falcon and Gabriel where. I walked up to Falcon."Dosen't this seem familiar. Even thow it was a long time ago. I can remeber have to do this with you.Teaching you how to survive. Hoppfully he will not be as stuborn as you or I.I can still rember us going at it.Neithere of us willing to admit we where wrong. But I am glad to say you have turned out to be a great person. I worried when I first started . But after we finished I knew. There would not be many that could stand a chance against you.Listen Boy you better listen to everything she says. What she is teaching you will save your life one day."Before they could say a word I left. I walked back to check on MeeSa and Olivia. First I stopped at MeeSa door. I knocked "Meesa I have come to check on you are do ok."

MeeSa

MeeSa glared at the wall. This English was incomprehensible. Did these people not understand that rules should mean something? They had excepted all of them!

The knock sounded the second time, startling her from her study. She jerked, shocked that she had been concentrating so heavily. "Neh?"

"MeeSa?" It was the Priest. "I am just checking to see if you're all right."

"I am fine. Thank you."

"Do you need anything?"

Other than to be gifted with languages, "I am hungry."

Father Gibson

In here languages I started to talk to her."I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me. I was just about to sit down and eat some fish and rice. You could join me if you like. We can go over your studies. I can also teach about the Customs here. How does that sound."

"All right, give me a few moments to prepare," MeeSa called, climbing from the tub. She tried not to get water on the book.

I ran off to a secret part of the church. It was a place i went to get away. It was just like the room I had in China. The everything in the room came from China. I made sure the food was ready and the tea was pured. I hope she likes it. I brought back the stuff to amke from China. Most people around here didn't like so I only make on specail occassions. What better than some from China. I rushed back to her door to see if she was waiting.

Falcon

Handing him the sword, she was at a loss for words, stepping around him and taking a few steps towards the door.

"We have work to do."

Gabriel:

Following after Falcon, Gabriel held an empathetic gaze on her. He held the sword in his hand. It was an amasing weapon.

I followed the tree line farther away from the battle scene. At a dry creek bed I cut into the forest and deeper in where the foliage made it almost dark as night. I headed away from where all the fighting was going on, knowing I would never be found. My senses were on high alert and I picked my way through the thick brush and finally across a rather large, rocky ridge. At the top I stood and could see for many miles. The land suddenly became flat and treeless ahead, so I turned and again followed the trees around the flat. With each step I was moving away from the fighting. Perhaps I would find sanctuary, somewhere.

Falcon

Falcom entered the empty barn and waited for Gabriel to follow her in, then closed the doors behind him. She walked to the centre of the barn and stopped, beconing him over.

"Hold your sword like this* she showed him where to put his hands in the hilt* and follow every move i make."

Slowly she began to move the blade in a slow sweeping motion, forming an upward arch, then down again, then repeating it. He had a good arm, he was going to be easier to teach than others she had delt with at least.

MeeSa

The priest took her to what appeared to be his rooms. He had laid out a Chinese style supper, simplistic in style, rich in texture and taste. Perhaps she ought to make a Korean style dinner for him? But then, outside of her native land, few people actually liked kimchi. Or could tolerate the smell of it.

She sat gracefully and picked up the chopsticks. It was no surprise that he handled his easily.
