Highlander.

Falcon

With a heavy sigh and a shake of her head Falcon set off in search of a bath and some food before she said some things Gabriel didn't want to hear, brad could handle it for now, and maybe talk some sense ingot the boy.

As she made her way down to the bath house, she felt another of her kind, and turning down a narrow passage way, she followed the sensation.

There in the kitchen wah a face she had not seen in a long time. Drawing her sword, she made her entrance, swinging her blade through the air, only to have him block her with lighting speed.

"Draven, long time no see, you till owe me money."

OOC: Whats the matter Cryo, can't you read the thread to catch up? Its not that hard... Besides, your the one that Muffin is hunting... She's a good player, t'would be disapointing for you to leave her hanging...

Gabriel:

"Father... May we be shown to our rooms for the night?" Gabriel asked as he turned to face Brad. "Perhaps in the morning there will be word about Olivia's brothers?"

Draven

Blocking the blade with my very own, I hold my stand against her with a grin over my face. She was just as fast as I'd remember her to be all those years ago. "Would you believe it if I said 'the check's in the mail'?" I respond with my usual sarcastic tone of voice. We both relent on our attack and back away from one another slowly. Staying just far enough to be able to address one another without gettint into another struggle.

Sizing her up for a moment, I asked, "How long has it been now, Falcon? After awhile, I stoped bothering to keep track of the time on most things anymore."

Holding my blade in both hands while keeping eye contact with her, I began to think about that one old saying. Believe it was 'If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen'. Here was the kitchen, and it looked like the heat was about to be turned up.

"So, did you come in here to kill me, talk with me, or what?" I asked while keeping my guard up. It was very rarely that I'd drop my defence for anyone. No matter how long they had known me or based on what was in our past.

Falcon

Falcon laughed, dropping her sword to her side.

"Easy Draven, I've killed my quoter for this month, so your safe for at least another two weeks. It's been a while, must be close to fourty five years, three months, two weeks and five days, but who's counting? Actually I am here on assignment, and a bath, seeing you is a pleasure i hadn't expected."

Reaching for a loaf of bread on the table, she cut a small piece of cheese and made a sandwich, offering it to him first, then making herself another, sat to eat it. She was tired, and in no mood to fight, besides, they had a past, and she would not find taking his head easy.

"So how's the world been treating you Draven? you look well"

OOC; I just want to know if were in present day yet. I was a little hazy at that point when reading the posts.

OOC: no we're still in the war day, and will probably remain in that era for a while. I hope that helps.

Draven

Sitting on the opposite side of the table with a sandwich in my hands, I let my guard down a little for now at least. Some would say that I was paranoid. But I'd say that I was always ready for the worst. Nah, I was probably just paranoid. Not that I didn't have a good reason to be with this business.

Keeping an eye on Falcon, I told her, "Things have been pretty slow lately. Most that I've faced one-on-one lately don't put up much of a fight."

Taking a quick bite from the sandwich, I added between chews, "Not the kind of fight those like you would put up, anyways."

There was a moment of silence as we both glanced at one another while eating. There was a lot of past history there between the two of us. It's a kind of 'bond' that a few immortals have towards one another. Not really friendship, in a way perhaps, but it was something indeed.

Finishing the sandwich, I asked Falcon, "What's this assignment business you brought up earlier?"

Falcon

"Do you remember the dream i told you of? ABout the one who would be the last? I found him, and i am going to train him to be the best. There can be only one, and it must be him."

The look on his face was bittersweet, but the truth was beter than trying to uphold an elaborate lie. With a heavey sigh i set down the remaider of my food and got to my feet.

"I can hear the bath house calling out my name, can we talk later?" her eyes were clouded over with exhaustion.

Draven

Watching as she prepared to leave for the bath house, I told her, "Oh, yeah... we can talk more once you're done with everything."

After she had left for the bath house, I started to think over what she'd just said. True, there could only be one, but it doesn't have to be this guy. But if Falcon was taking the time to work on him, then he had to be better then the average immortal.

Leaving the money for the food on the table, I made my way back to the streets. A small grin spread over my lips while walking off on my own. It had been pretty boring around here lately. This could be just the thing needed to liven up the place a bit.

Falcon

As Draven slipped away into the outside world, i reached out with my mind.

"Take care my friend, don't lose your head, i have need of your help."

The bath was hot and welcoming, the bubbles caressing my tired and wearly body. I tried not to think, not to dream. Never had i taken the head of an immortal who was good at heart, but always i had to battle for my identity after taking the head of one who was evil.

Finishing my bath, i dressed and headed back towards the kitchen. I needed to talk more with Gabreil and what he wasted to do with his self appointed ward, and i needed to see Brad about a place to train, and a sword i had left in his keeping a long time ago. It had been my lovers sword, but he had no need of it now. Now it would serve us all best in Gabreils hands. I had killed the one who killed Jarren, my lover, and i now held both of them within me, and both of thier skills and knowage, along with many others. when it came down to it, it must ne Gabriel that took my head, the power i had must not be waisted on anyone less.

Shaking my head free of the thaughts that seemed to plague me constantly, i continued my quest to find Brad and Gabriel.

OOC; well I allready posted that Miroku dissapears until present day, so when that finally comes, e-mail me and I'll resume the hunt

Mee Sa

OOC: What's all this commotion about modern day? Don't get the point of requiring and RP to be set in present times to play it. Facility of character is a prized commodity in a gamer, neh?

IC: MeeSa figured the smart move would be to leave well enough alone and move on with her hunt or further her education. But she hadn't always taken the smart way.

Intrigued by the prowess shown by the woman's sign, Mee Sa tracked her as far as the verge of the woods. She stood on the hill overlooking a western holy ground. Saftey from the immortals, it would be a good place to sit and consider.

Gathering her things, she approached silently, but swiftly. Hoping it wasn't abandoned in the war, she knocked on the door.

Falcon

Falcon had always been a teacher of various things. When she was mortal, she would teach the children of her village to read and write, taught many to ride horses and do various crafts, always encouraging other to better thenselves, after she became immortal, she learned from the best, and the worst, then took pride in teaching other immortals who furnished a good heart to survive as long as possible. She could feel the other woman, knowing all to well how hard it was to be a woman in a mans world, wondering which way her heart was seated.

Falcon found Gabriel leading the girl back to her room. She needed to talk to him, but she didn't want to preasure him. collecting her cloak, she headed out of the church, off holey ground, and into the streets. She was in a mood, and right now, a seedy tavern amd a dirty game of poker would prove a good distraction.

Olivia

Did her best to not let the disapointment show on her face when they mentioned finding her brothers. She knew that even if they did find them, she would still be alone. Her brothers were soldiers, never home, always off fighting for some reason or another. She had asked to stay with the man, mostly for protection reasons. He made her feel safe, and after what she had been through that is what she needed the most. Only she knew it was up to Gabriel to decide what he wanted to do...

As he lead her back to the room she looked him over. He was handsome, and his cold blue eyes seemed to stare straight through her at times. He did not speak much, always lost in his own thoughts. She could tell he had alot on his mind, and she wished she could help him some how. Yet she knew that if she did stay, she would more then likely be a burden to him.

Gabriel:

After returning Olivia to her room and seeing that she would be well looked after for a time, Gabriel allowed himself to be taken off with Falcon. "What is it you wished to speak about?" He asked calmly. "And if this is about the girl... It is not my place to say weather she stay's or goes, it is her dicision and I will stand by it... Stubbornly if I must..."

Father Gibson

I Searched for Gabriel. I found him bringing the girl to her room. It brought up thoughts of the first woman I meet. The one after I found out , that i was immortal. We lived in a church much like this one. But she died.I wacthed her grow old and die.It killed me watching her grwo old. While I stayed young. She should have hated me.Here I was going on and she was dieing. But she loved me all the more. Her only request was that I never forget her.So on her birthday I light her a candle.I walked over after she went in the room." Less talk young one. She is very pertty isn't she.I know you will not do what I am about to tell . Do you wanna know how I know. Because I didn't listen to it . If you fall for her it will only lead to saddness. Less say no one was to ever come after you. One day she will die. As she grows old you won't. As her hair turns gray yours won't.But I also know that love cannot be stopped once it has starrted. Are you in love with her? Before you answer that there is one thing I just found out. Her brothers they dead they died in a battle. After you tell me I believe you should be the one to tell her."

Mee Sa

Her knock went unanswered. MeeSa opened the door, it's rusty hinges creaked a warning to all inside. She moved inside on whisper quiet feet, crossing into the santuary itself. Candles and torches burned, the simple wooden pews were clean and empty. On a rough wooden cross above the altar was the carved image of the mostly naked white man. MeeSa had always thought that oddly barbaric that these barbarians had nailed their deity to a cross.

Despite the admonishon that holy ground was safe ground, she kept one hand on the pommel of her katana. One never knew.

"Ahnyounghashipshiyo?" she queried softly. Nothing but the sibilant echo of her words and the flickering of the fire.

Gabriel Martin:

"I do not know if I love her, I only know that I am honor bound to protect her... She wishes to stay... If you allow it than I ask that she stay... I... I will tell her of her brother..." Gabriel said softly as he looked up into Brad's eyes. The echo of a woman's voice caught their attention's. Gabriel stood quickly to see who it was.

Father Gibson

"Everyone is welcome in the House of God. We turn no one away. She can stay as long as she likes. But my next question is are you gonns stay. I have grown fuad of you.I have mad a descion if you go. I will go with you. It is time I get out and see the wolrd again. But I am getting ahead of myself. First is that alright with you. Do mind gragging and old presit around with you. When and if you leave hear."

Gabriel Martin:

"I stay... If you allow me... Falcon has much to teach me..." Gabriel said offhandedly as he locked eyes with the asian woman. "Hello..." He said to her with a smile.

Falcon

Falcon kept the poker game short, cleaing out the other players and heading back to the church, dropping the majority of the money in the poor box on he way in the door.

She could feel the other woman, another presance, it was unusual for so many of them to be in one place at one time, but she doubted this was the time of the gathering. She had seen that in a dream, and it was a vastly diferant place to this.

She found Gabriel, Brad, and Mee Sa talking in the hall, and with her sword at the ready, she approached with care.

MeeSa

She furrowed her brow, three people, two males in front, one female approaching carefully. The big male and the female were immortal. She itched to draw her swords, it did not escape her notice that the female's hand was on the pommel of hers, but refrained. Forcibly, she slowly moved her hand away from the katana.

This was holy ground and MeeSa would abide the rules. The big male said something, she narrowed her eyes, not understanding.

"Ahnyounghasehyo," she reiterated politely with a bow. Her eyes flicked to the woman. Even an idiot could tell that of the three, she was by far the most dangerous. "Che iriumun Chae MeeSa."

They conversed in that unweildly language. She really ought to learn it since they'd never learn hers.

Thumping her chest, she repeated, "Chae MeeSa."

Gabriel Martin:

"MeeSa?" Gabriel repeated drawing her eyes back to him with his words. He placed a hand on his chest. "Ga bri el..." He said slowly in return. He stepped forward just as slowly.

Father Gibson

I notice the language. I spoke where she could understand me."Be at peace my child you are safe here.Do njot fear you are safe here. Are you hungary or sleep. You are welcoem to stay in the house of the lord as long as you like."
