Father Gibson

"That life is over. All you will do is cause problems if you go back. Think of your parents the pian you will bring them. Think of the pain of your friends. Think what your fellow officers will do. You are dead to them. If you go back they will think you are the devil. Plus you will put alot of peoples lifes in danger. Think what they will do to. Think what maddness this will start. You cannot go back to your old life. You have three choices. The first one is to stay here. You will be safe here. No one will attack you here and you can dress like a monk no will ever know.Second you can move. You must leave the state. You must start a new life for yourself. I can help with that to. Third you can try and go home. But if you do. I must give you fare warning. I will do everything in my power to stop you.The sooner you learn that life is over for you the better. Now choose and be warned don't lie to me. I can easliy find. While I don't like hurting people. There are more lifes at stake here than yours. I won't let you cause a mass panic."

Gabriel Martin:

"I am no devil! My parents would surly know this!" Gabriel shot back, suddenly hotly angry that this man, priest or not, dared to suggest such a thing. All his heart fought against what he had become.

Father Gibson

" I guess there is only one thing to do and that is to prove it to you. I hate to tell you this but they have had a funeral for you.Your parents are out there at the gravestone. They where told by your commanding officer that you where dead. He seen your dead body. Even if they believe that you are alive. The U.S Army won't. Because the guy that seen you was a General . Both sides will hunt you down for being a devil. You are not a devil you are an immortal. You will never die. Well unless someone takes your head. Come with me walk out on the terrace you can hear your parents talking to you. If you go back all you will do it hurt them. They will do anything to help you. Even die if it comes to it . That is what it will come to."

Gabriel Martin:

Gabriel was slow to respond, the words Father Gibson spoke weighed heavily on his soul. "Yes... I would like to see them..." He said as he choked back the tears he felt washing over his eyes.

Father Gibson

"Follow me young one this way. There they are standing there in front of your grave. I talked to them before you got here . They where telling me how pround they where of you. How much they loved you.If you go over there lifes are as good as over. Think about it one day somone will come after you. What better way to get to you then by killing your parents. Then how will you feel. Love sometimes means giving things up. Giving up the one you love to protect them. Now you must choose. Do do act selfish and put them in danger. Do you make me have to try and stop you or do listen to me. It is your choice I can't make it for you."

Gabriel Martin:

Leaning against the frame of the archway they stood in as he looked down upon the scene playing out down below, Gabriel drew a shaky breath. "I understand... I will leave them be..." He said weakly.

Father Gibson

"Do not think I take happiness in your saddness. But this had to be. The first time you die is always the hardest. There somthing i am gonna tell you but. You most give me your word that it never leaves this building. Understand me"

Olivia

She was not sure how she had managed to be put in a warm bed, but she was there. The last thing she remembered was walking into the church and hanging onto Gabriel for her life. She moaned softly and turned onto her side, the bed was nice. Better then the pile of hay she had been sleeping in the last couple of nights. Blinking open her eyes she noticed the small room she was in, a bed with a crucifix upon the headboard. A small table, one dresser and a mirror on the left wall. Not much, but it was better then the last conditions she had been in. Slowly climbing out of the bed she noticed the washbasin filled with clean water. She smiled brightly, and glanced around then peeling off her dress she took the washcloth and began to bathe herself.

Her eyes closed to the cool water, it felt good to be able to clean all the dirt from her skin. She washed her face, scrubbing it clean then the rest of her body. Her pale skin now held a pinkish glow from scrubbing. Once clean she sighed, she did not have a clean dress to wear. Opening the dresser she sorted through it, finally coming across a long men's nightshirt. She slipped it over her creamy white skin. It fell to her ankles, and she smiled buttoning up the front.

She combed her fingers through her long black hair and twisted it into a bun on the top of her head. Then she peeked out of the room's door, the hall was silent as she padded bare foot down it. Her eyes searching for Gabriel and the Father...

Gabriel Martin:

"What you tell me will not be spoken of again to any other from my lips." Gabriel said softly. "By our lord and father, this I swear." If he was going to give his word to such a thing he was going to do it right and propper.

MeeSa

The mist was rising early, before twilight had come and the earth had cooled. MeeSa moved slowly, exercising the silent movements she'd learned from the savages. Somewhere ahead, about twenty pyung she thought, though the mist was interfering, were a group of men.

Drifters from the continental war and the more dangerous deserters from both sides abounded. While she didn't fear them, it was often much simpler to be stealthy and avoid the trouble entirely. Her agenda was to find the ilboninnom, not to play killing games with the native population. Her quest would be greatly speeded by acquiring a horse. However, a horse was, in and of itself, very conspicuous. Horses had all been appropriated for military use and she could not pass for a soldier of either side, let alone an officer.

"-say we should go back 'n check oot th' battle."

"Now 'Arry, we would just be shot as deserters."

"We are deserters." There was a tremendous laugh from the group over that one.

MeeSa wished she'd taken the time to learn this vulgar language these Americans spoke. Instead, she stole past the group. She discovered the remains of a battlefield not much farther, where the dead had been buried in a massive grave and wooden crosses had been placed in the ground.

Gently, with doe-like precision and wariness, she made her way to the graves. The chill of the air could have come from the mist, or it could have come from the presence of Death. "Samang issuhyo?" she queried softly. Her words barely pierced the fog.

She knelt down by a cross and ran her fingers over the wood. At one time she envied these simple people, the ones that lived, birthed, and died. Now, she simply communed with them. She fancied she could sense the battle as it had happened, the shouts and cries of dying soldiers. She fancied she could see Death, her enemy, her friend, the one who cradled her lover in his skeletal arms.

"Ahh, DongJin..."

Father Gibson

Good I trust you young one. I to know the hurt of the first death unkowen to anyone but me and now you. I am a immortal to. You lost your parents. Not that I am making light of your lose. But I had chilrdren not of my . They where my brothers I took them as my own. That is one of many cures of being immortal. You can not have children. But I never seen them as anyless then my children. My brother died in a battle a long time ago. So I took his kids and wife as my own. That was the way it was done. My parents where happy to see me happy. But for some reason we never had children. As I said we can't have kids. But then somthing happed and I died. But I woke up after they put me in the ground. It took me days to get out. I would work untill i would die then start again. Once I woke back and final I got out. But it was to late I was suppose to been dead for days. Back then there where only a hand full of us. But one of the very few came to me and took me under Her wing. She was killed not long after we meet. But I have never told anyone this. You are the first. So believe me when I say I know your pain. I live with the pain of lost love."

Gabriel Martin:

"And what of the girl, she has lost her parents, and her brothers fight in the war... I feel I must protect her." Gabriel said softly as he looked down the corrador that the girl was aproaching them from. He stood and took a step toward her before looking back to Father Gibson.

Father Gibson

"If she stays with you her life will be in danger. I know a family that will take her in. They can't have children. They are real nice and will take care of her.As I told you they will do anything to be last. I seen a man once use a baby to get a man to leave holy ground then he killed the man.He tried to kill the baby. I could not stop him killing the other preist but I could stop this. So I killed him.But I can not force you to let her go. But if you do I can put her in a trance. She will not rember anything. She will believe that she is really there child. But you need to decide soon. I since there many immortals around. Thing might get real dangers around here.Well what is anserw."

Falcon

"There is never an easy answer when it comes to the heart. Hello Gibson, it's been a while, how's the world treating you old friend?

Falcon stepped out of the shadows, her face and clothing a mess, her hair cut short at the nape of her neck, and her eyes clowed with dark emotion. Taking the quickening of one who was dark in nature always disturbed her for a time, but i was an affect she knew well how to handle. She looked at the girl comming up the hall and turned her eyes back to Gabriel, she said nothing but he knew she was waiting for his descision. She needed a bath badly, and rest even more.

Father Gibson

"Hello my young frined. When I asked him who sent hie here. I was hoping it was you. It has been to long.Do rember what I told you last time. Call me Brad. You are both my friends so father is not nesscary."

Falcon

Falcon laughed at the term "young friend" She may have been younger than him, but four hundred was hardly young. Still it was nice to be thought of as young.

"I knew this would be the best place to send him Brad. Time as been kind to you, you look well."

Gabriel Martin:

Listening to Falcon and Fath* Brad's interplay, Gabriel fell silent. He had already made up his mind on what he intended to do about the girl... He would ask her what she wished and would see that it came to be. In this he was adamant.

Mee Sa

Her head flew up seconds before she leaped to her feet, at ready. Somewhere nearby an immortal had just met hisor her fate. The feel of a quickening in the air while, subtle, was unmistakeable.

The ilbonin!

She tried to get some sort of fix on the immortal who'd just quickened, and trotted in that direction.

Ilboninnomul chookgessuh, she swore silently.

Olivia

Her bare feet were silent along the cold floor as she made her way to them. They were heavy in discussion, Gabriel's pale eyes held hers as she approached. She felt her face flush, and she removed her eyes from his. Taking the last few steps she was right infront of him, blushing she turned to the Father. "Father, I needed to clean, and I hope you do not think ill of me for borrowing a Night Shirt. My dress was torn and dirty."

She smiled softly to the other woman, then she glanced back at Gabriel. It was as if his eyes drew her to him, again she flushed.

Gabriel:

"Olivia, it has been put to me to decide what is to be done with you. I... I want to know what you wish... We could seek out your brothers, your family home still stands, so you still have a place to live if your brothers are returned to you there..." Gabriel focused his cool blue eyes on her as she turned away with a mild blush.

Olivia

"No one has heard from my brothers, I do not know when they will return, if they return. There is no where else for me to go really..I don't know what to do." Her voiced faded off and she ran her hand over her bare neck. Then looking back at him,"Can I stay with you?" Her words were soft and almost unheard.

Falcon

Falcon gave Farther Brad a knowing look, they both knew this would not bode well. Gabriel needed training, and there was ,much for him to learn. The girl was a distraction they both knew he didn't need, but the choice was his. Keeping the girl would put not only her life at risk, but all their lives.

Fahter Gibson

"Speaking where the girl couldn't hear.I told they other to.There is no need to search. I can find them very easy. What I didn't tell you. Was I am a member of a group called the watchers. What we do is watch immtorals and write there history.I am the head of the wacthers."I sent for one of my men."Tell him the name of your brother or brothers."

Mee Sa

The ilboninnom hadn't been there. She knelt down near the scene the immortal battle had so recently been enacted. To her newly trained eyes, she stared at the sign and could almost imagine it.

The immortal who'd died had be large with big feet, a male no doubt. The other had been more dainty, giving her the opinion that it was a female. They had danced around the clearing, the swords clashing. Swords always clashed in an immortal battle. In her mind's eye, Mee Sa imagined that they threw off sparks.

Eventually the female did something to outwit the male and her sword bit into his neck. Blood sprayed everywhere, coating everything. The head had rolled, the body hit the dirt, and the Quickening had happened.

Mee Sa closed her eyes, trying to figure out where the female immortal had gone. The immortal pull was vaguely southward. She sat on her haunches, trying to decide if she should persue or if she should move on.

There could be only one, true. But she was in no hurry to find out which one that would be. Her only interest was the ilboninnom. Where had he gone. Perhaps the female immortal knew. Perhaps the female immortal would want to battle her. After all, there could be only one.

Mee Sa opened her eyes and stared at the spot the Quickening had occurred. Was it worth it to persue this immortal?

OOC; I'm back. I know it's been awhile, but I had no controll over that. Lady luck was out to get me this week. so am I still welcome in this thread? if so, what's been happening since I was gone?
