High schooler's adventures and exploits

I'm thinking of trying my hand at writing some erotica for the first time in the form of an ongoing story about a high school senior and his sexual exploits, and the trouble he gets in. A guy that slowly gets a reputation for his sexual prowess after he experiences a growth spurt in the one place most guys would love. But it doesn't come without it's price, which ends up being predicaments he has to get himself out of, accompanied by plenty of comedic moments. I wanted to have it take place at either the end of the 80's or early 90's. No internet, no cell phones, the local mall was still the best place to hang out with friends, etc. Pre-internet would mean that the carnal knowledge learned from internet porn wouldn't be available.

Sure, go ahead, the world can always use another high-school-harem storyline. To properly channel that prowess he'll need an experienced woman (probably older, maybe a cousin or in-law) to teach him how to apply his burgeoning development -- till then he's just another emotional firestorm with a big dick and no real idea what to do with it besides sticking it in and pulling it out. Expect hilarity and humiliation till he's trained.

Circa-1990 is pre-WWWeb but it's still the era of FidoNet and BBS's, Gopher and ftp over dialup modems, Usenet newsgroups like alt.sex.stories, not-too-huge 'portable' and fairly cheap desktop PC's and Macs, all delivering varied-quality sex stuff. There's plenty of off- and on-line RPG and fantasy gaming with illicit sexual levels being traded about. Lots of XXX VHS tapes floating around too. So it's not an information-deficient environment.

Locale is important. You'd have very different stories depending on the setting: sun belt or rust belt; liberal big city or conservative hicksville or generic suburb or college town; ethnic and economic mix, etc. And your protagonist -- is he athletic, nerdy, stoner, not too bright, class clown, an Everyman, or what? How do you visualize him?

True that porn was still accessible with VHS and magazines; however, trying to rent porn was typically an embarrassing situation. Hence the "walk of shame" along the outside row of videos, pretending to peruse as you get closer to the porn section and then ducking inside when nobody is looking. Buying porn mags at gas stations was another potentially embarrassing situation. Most guys didn't just walk up and ask to buy a copy of Hustler as if they were buying a copy of Sports Illustrated.

Not sure if it will be a true harem story as he's trying to do his best to keep the women he's sleeping with unaware of the other sex partners. I'm not much of a fan of the Harem stories where all the girls are under the MC's spell and worship him and are willing to share him without much protest.

He may be having fun having sex all over town, but it's going to become a problem at some point and he'll start to wonder if it's as great as he might have originally thought.

I'd say he's borderline handsome, somewhat athletic, but he's a slacker with no real ambition. Spends more time daydreaming or with his nose in a book than paying attention in class. It will take place in a generic suburb. The school he attends will be one that's filled with rich kids, and the only reason he's there is that his family lives in the district and his dad makes barely enough to be above the minimum earnings standard.
