Dianna stood in front of Northvale High School, watching as various people walked by her. She didn't exactly have a hard time in high school. She wasn't bullied, but she wasn't popular either. That being said, catching up with her former classmates didn't fill her up with joy either. Briefly, Di wondered if a certain someone was going to be there. It had been ten years since they left each other for different colleges. Long distance relationships weren't her forte and frankly, she didn't like them. And they had some pretty great distances between them, not that she didn't try. Dianna thought that both of them did their best, but in the end, life took over. She thought of him every once in a while, wondered how he was doing, if he was seeing someone else, if he was married and had kids...
When someone bumped into her as she was lost in her thoughts, Dianna knew it was time to go in. After registering and putting on her name tag on her red dress, Dianna entered the gym and was immediately bombarded with the familiar smells and chatter that came from being in a high school reunion. A quick glance about didn't show her anyone she particularly wanted to talk to. “Why are you even here?” She asked herself, heading towards the drinks table. “For the free food and booze, obviously.” Dianna muttered. Picking up a red cup filled with beer, she headed to the tables.
Overhearing a conversation at the next table, she smiled. There were certain topics that came up at a reunion and one of them was jobs. Dianna was now an owner of a bakery. Well, a chain of bakeries, but that was just showing off if she started with that in a conversation. Honestly, if certain classmates hadn't changed, she might just need to do that. Sipping on her beer, Di looked at the dance floor, at the couples. There were several who looked like they needed a room. Or just a dark corner in the gym...
