He sighed staring at the pills trying to understand how the sweet down to earth girl could have fallen so hard. He wasn’t a fool he knew every one had a dark side, some thing they didn’t necessarily want other to know about. Yet it seemed so unlike the girl in front of him. He had known the world of music and record labels could be rough hell his family the god-fearing Christians that they were begged him not to get involved. Of course he laughed at them back then insisted that the music industry wouldn’t change him.

Of course that was before all of this

“You need to detox” He finally said taking the bottles and contemplating them “I can sue them on the legal grounds of your manager giving you controlled substances but you need to tell your story and more importantly you need a place you can kick the habit”

He set the pills on the table and looked at her raising an eyebrow “I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to give a mad man who thinks its okay to drug you to keep you complaint any more of your time and or energy if your serious about getting clean and doing real work I…. I have a place we can go to get you clean and to get away from it all my brother can focus on the proceedings and more importantly getting you out of his craziness”

Dahlia couldn't believe what she was hearing. She never felt like she could have escaped Sean before. She'd tried, once, but she'd been so exhausted from the withdrawal that it had been easy for him to find her and drag her back. But this time? With Jack here to help her?

The help of someone else, someone who cared... It meant the world to her.

A smile appeared on her face, full of hope, and she suddenly rushed forward, throwing herself onto him in a tight hug. She buried her face in his neck, inhaling thee clean, fresh scent of him - he smelled like soap and woodfires. A good, honest smell. He could take care of her. She could be safe with him.

"I'll go with you. I want to be free of him." She took a step back, blushing slightly. "I can do it... if you'll help me."

“Are you sure about this?” He said standing up and giving her a piercing look “Once we go down this path things are going to get crazy in your life even more so then they already are you will have to face the media and the press about this…. As well as your fans” He told her even though he was already packing up his stuff.

“I cant ever promise we will make it s big s you already have or if we will make it at all this world the music industry it isn’t always kind to us starving artist I can promise you though that I will accompany you the best I can and am fully committed to making it in some form or manner” He told her taking her hand and pulling her up gently.

“It’s about a six hour drive to the cabin its back in my home town Nashville I got my truck parked out back we can try and get some of your stuff but it might be better just to leave town now if your serious about this”

Dahlia looked seriously at him. "I'm sure. 100%." She took his hands, looking at him with wide eyes. "I'm not famous. The woman my fans think I am, the woman my manager wants me to be... I'm not her. She's famous, not me. And I can live with that. I don't want to have to pretend to be her anymore."

She picked up her purse, another little smile appearing on her face. "I don't need to get anything. We can buy whatever we need on the way. I've been squirreling away money in an account Sean doesn't know about. We'll have something to live on for the next few months, if we need it."
