You think "girlfriend who has said more than once if her Hitachi Wand could walk the dog hubby would be finding a new place to live." is a joke but me thinking Ogg could have done so much better is overly harsh.

I think you're comparing apples and oranges. When I first read lc's comment about the girlfriend, I figured she was joking. I have probably made jokes of that nature to my husband, by which I mean I've said stuff in an exaggerated, joking way about what he or I might do in different situations. But I love him dearly, and he knows we're joking and so do I.

I also can't get upset about a comment like that by someone I don't actually know about someone I completely don't know.

It's one thing to critique a story, and when public comments are open, that's an option. But to just say "You shouldn't have won," which I gather you believe to be true (i.e., you were not kidding), is not the same thing.

But it's your opinion, and I'm not saying your opinion is wrong. Just that the two comments are not particularly comparable.
