High Fantasy Erotica

After absorbing all relevant C&C from my Sigil fantasy erotica series, I have finally embarked on an effort I finally consider more mature and more self-contained with an adequate balance between character focus and setting detail:

That is the first story in the series and I have uploaded three sequel chapters ('Sigrid's Gambit', 'Sehanine's Moonblade' and 'The Enchantress' Web'). If any one of the esteemed readers on this site has an hour to kill and an interest in high fantasy in a Tolkien/Weis & Hickman/Cunningham mould, you are warmly invited to have a look and tell me what you think. Modestly, I hope that this outlines a particular stream of fantasy erotica which is generally neglected by authors. Moreover, I can happily proclaim that the thematic inspiration, not to mention some stylistic elements, are heavily indebted to the late, great Colleen Thomas' 'Sword of Aviondore' works. It is to her that this series is dedicated.

If I may ask a few questions:

1) Is the prose too 'purple'? I tried to tone down the density of the text in later installments.

2) Does the proliferation of characters affect your perception of the story? Are there too many characters and do they unbalance one another?

3) Do the characters work for you? Can you identify or sympathise with them? Are they appealing?

4) Setting. Does the level of detail allow you to visualise the world better? I am of the persuasion that in writing fantasy fiction, it is indispensable to describe that which differs from RL.

5) Is the erotic imagery/narration sufficiently daring or innovative? I set out with the intention of giving depth and variety to the standard fantasy intimate scene repertoire. Was the result intriguing, or squick-worthy?
